Final Fantasy not over yet

It is called "Final Fantasy" because it was supposed to be the final game that Squaresoft was to release before going bankrupt.

Instead of being the swan song that Hironobu Sakaguchi thought it would be, it led to 28 games, two feature-length movies, three original video animations and an animation series.

While it may not be as popular in the U.S. when compared to Bioware and their long-line of amazing role-playing games, the "Final Fantasy" series indisputably has the east side of the world tied around their little pinky finger.
