StarCraft 2 Battle.net 2.0 Support Activated

For ages and ages, the Support Page of Battle.net has shown a greyed out StarCraft II logo, but has sneakily been changed.

Much like the gameplay video Blizzard snuck out the other day, this update could herald an upcoming Closed Beta, or at least an internal "Friends & Family Beta" within Blizzard: another sure sign that the public one would be available shortly afterwards.

About time! Signs of hope they are getting closer than ever.

This is, what, the 50th "Beta might be about to open!!!!11111" story in the past year?

Leord3218d ago

Yeah, true. However, they have changed their plans at least once, probably more than that about the beta.

this would be the first one in 2010 if that makes it feel better? :)

Blizzard is the hype master after all. The fans are what drive this all on. Come on blizz make the damn beta already!

Fyzzu3218d ago

Hah! Well, that's a more positive way of looking at it, certainly...

Cogo3218d ago

Well, if it WOULD be another delay after this, I think it would be the third major rearrangements of internal plans of Blizzard (only one is publically given, and there may be a lot more than 2).

They would soon actually feel some detrimental effects of waiting longer. Hopefully this is a sign of the F&F beta at least.

Indeed, I wonder how many fans will be excited about this (arguably) small update, or if they've simply given up hope altogether...

AndyA3218d ago

I'll believe it when I see it.

So many false positives...

Holyknight30003218d ago

One could only hope this time!

Maticus3218d ago

Well we know it'll be this year sometime then :P

Terrice3218d ago

Ahh, another milestone met, as we inch closer and closer to the beta. :)

Holyknight30003218d ago

Blizzard, changing graphics one year at a time. beta!!!

Cogo3218d ago

Yes indeed. I see it as great news.

The problem is that it's "one inch closer", but we have no idea how many inches there are in total....

Leord3218d ago

@ Cogo:

Yeah. The "not knowing" part is the worst. I understand they don't want us to know every single little thing going on, but still!
