CroNous Neo Union War
Finally, the spectacular revolution has begun. There will be unprecedented changes to the Cronous war system, including rewards for both winning and losing sides on January 21, 2010.
In the new version, war will take place every Saturday from 17:30~19:00 PST. In order to be eligible to participate in the war, up to 3 unions must apply to Allan(NPC) at Bernai Castle by Wednesday before midnight (PST). There are two besieging unions and one defending union in the war. Besieging unions must attack and destroy the Ark Stone in the castle which the defending union must protect to maintain control over the castle. X-formed characters must return to original form in order to participate in battle.
The besieging unions must take over the outer gate, inner gates, guard tower and destroy the Statue of the Berani King in order to enter the castle. However, there are other ways to enter. For example, magicians can teleport through the castle walls using magic.
The Neo Union War will take place in a new server called ‘Union War Server’ and the castle from this server will appear before the war begins. Accordingly, Non-PVP and PVP servers will not be affected by the war.
1) If the "Will of the King" ceremony is not performed within the given time, defending side wins the war and vice versa; if the ceremony is performed, the besieging side wins the war.
2) Penalties of PK will not be applied during the Union War (EXP and item drops).
Union War will take place every Saturday from 17:30~19:00 PST. The Applications to participate in the war will close on Wednesday 0:00 PST.
If there are more than two besieging unions applied for the war, participants will be selected according to the following criteria. Priorities are listed in order :
1) Union with the most number of guilds as its member.
2) If all unions have 5 guilds each, the union with the most number of members in the master guild.
3) If all guilds consist of 30 members, the first applied union.
Battle System
The Neo Union War’s Battle system progresses as follows:
There are two besieging unions and one defending union in the war. Besieging unions attack, destroy the Ark Stone in the castle and perform the ceremony with the ‘Will of the King’ which the defending union must effectively protect to maintain control over the castle. Both sides must go through a bloodbath to achieve their own objectives from the war.
To survive and win the battle, both unions must pursue well-planned and effective strategies because the Neo Union War is not an ordinary PK battle. Factors that influence effective strategies include the appropriate usage of specially made items for union battles and possibly formation settings. For example magicians can form into small groups and teleport through the castle walls using magic. This can lure defenders and kill some of the defenders unexpectedly.
This fierce war takes place once every week in all three servers. In Union War zones, players can freely kill each other without any penalties applied.
Outer Gate
The Outer gates are firmly closed when the Union War begins. Once one of the outer gates collapses, an inner gate emerges.
This is the first imperative stage which the time of demolishment can be a deadly factor of winning the battle.
Inner Gate
When one of the outer gates collapses, an inner gate that must be destroyed in order to advance emerges.
Guard Tower
After destroying the inner gate, eastern and western towers will appear and must to be razed in order to advance. After destroying the guard towers, the Statue of the Bernai King will be activated and appear.
Weapons of War.
Characters can transform into deadly war weapons. This fascinating new feature will take the fun to the next level. Once players transform into weapons, an equivalent level of damage and defense rates will be given to each character regardless of the character’s level. When the HP drops to zero, players will return to their normal forms. Only guild maters can purchase Union items and be bought from ‘Pacie, the Union war NPC. ‘
Catapult
Players must select and set up their casting range after figuring out the Catapult’s range limit. Once prepared, they can target and start casting their missiles.
Castle management
When a union conquers the castle, the union master receives the authority to run the castle.
Castle Management System is similar to a business strategy simulation with profound and various options to choose from such as step-by-step investment and management functions. Investment made by the Union Master will affect economy of the castle and its development; Commissions received from merchants in the castle will let you keep stay in power. With appropriate investment and development, you can become most powerful Union of all.
Honor Points System
All players who have participated in the war will be given Honor Points according to their participations and contributions in the war. Honor Points can be used to purchase a diversity of items from item shops.
