Official: Tekken Movie Trailer

Tekken movie trailer is extremely impressive and looks to be a great representation of the game. The fans will be shocked to see that this doesn't appear to end up like the Street Fighter movie with Jean Claude Van Damme.

The creators behind the Tekken movie seems to have taken precious time to properly represent a legendary franchise from the small screen to the big screen check it out

dont know how I feel about it....some aspects are awesome....the resemblences are amazing....but the story again..revenge long lost forgotten son seeking revenge with his "father" - the end would be the same they meet in a fight , on the final blow to father, son suddenly loves him again n everything is fine....pssh

did you watch the same trailer? lol yes the story will be cheese but nothing like u've just made up.

mentions something about his mother teaching him and his mums dead (she was presumably a character from tekken? i never really followed the characters stories) so yes it will be revenge and i agree with the cliche but most likely it will be beating/killing whoever killed his mum and winning the tournament...

I guess I'm the only one that thinks this looks pretty cool. Obviously the story is gonna suck, but the real meat is the fighting. So far it looks like it has that part down. Good to see some actual fighters in there too. MMA great Cung le and Roger Huerta.

Looks better than the last 2 Street Fighter movies but then again staring at a box of Cap'n Crunch for 2 hours straight is better than those atrocities.

That said, this movie looks like its going to be for the younger (10-13) fanbase cause otherwise is looks like a cheesy Bloodsport knock off you see late at night on Spike TV.

This trailer is exactly the kind of trailer you would expect from yet another ridiculous, corny, poorly acted, poorly scripted, game to film. It looks as bad as I feel actually giving my time to watch it.

As for HHG, i honestly dont know if hes doing it for laughs, or if hes actually been serious and is just an idiot.

Looks average, I was actually waiting for this movie. Jin appearance is alright and the fighting is good but the acting is out of character - in the videogame he's more emo like. Looks better than any other Fighting Game Movie in terms of the costumes, looks and fighting style.. Steve Fox with no hair :O.

Only to me it seems one of those Z series movies with unknown ppl and a bit of martial arts (the only good scenes you see are ONLY in the trailer)?
It gave me that impression... unless it's one fight after the other, endlessly with a total of 10 mins of story (like Mortal Kombat: total destruction or something like that).

My idea? Let Tekken be a game. Even the anime was obscene...

that is extremely difficult to translate into film. I have YET to see a fighting game make a decent translation to film. Anime...yes..film...not so much. The Mortal Kombat series was fun and laughable...but not great. Street Fighter was horrible early on and the newer one was a joke. I think that the problem is that often the stories for these games (and each character) are so disjointed that it is hard to tie them into one story. Therefore, they have to create some overriding narrative that often completely misses the mark. The only hope for movies like this IS the martial arts itself. Unfortunately, they usually don't even do that justice.
