Which console has better graphics concerning multi platform titles? To answer this question, Videogameszone summarized ten graphic comparisons to games like Modern Warfare 2, Assassin's Creed 2, Bayonetta and other highlights for Xbox 360 and PS3. The winner is: Xbox 360.

Either way, if you put in games like Burnout etc etc you'd see that the scale in 09 was pretty much 1:1. The devs are getting down how to make multiplatform games equal on both consoles.

Actually in Darksiders, what I noticed in many of the shots, is the PS3 version had better texturing but also had a bit more jagies.

In comparison the XBOX 360 had more blur overall (I assume that's the AA effect) but the blur seemed to rob some of the texture.

If there are serious discrepancies between versions of games, there will always be a few sites that pick up on this and score their reviews appropriately. And these averages tell a similar story. 2007, multiplat games were better on the 360, 2008 they became about even, in 2009 the PS3 pulled ahead.

At this point most games are so similar you'd never notice a difference.

I don't care if multiplats look any better on the 360. The differences are only noticeable when you do a side by side comparison. The fact of the matter is, PS3 owners can still enjoy the game just as much as the 360 owners.. But 360 only owners will not get to enjoy quality award winning games that boast graphics unlike any other game on the market to date. UNCHARTED 2, before that it was KILLZONE 2 and next it will be GOW3 and GT5.

While they both have the same res/AA, the PS3 version has better textures, more vibrant video, and a better frame rate.

Gamespot mentions framerate issues in their 360 review but not their PS3 review, and the pictures show a nicer looking Ps3 version.

This all might matter to me if I actually spent my hard earned money on average multiplats but I don't. I use my money to rent multi and buy exclusive.

Box fankids would have you believe the differences are enough to pony up 200$ on a shotty pile of hardware in order to be able to see better graphics on a multiplatform game. If I want to see better graphics then these Boxies can, I'll just pop in one of the Sony exclusive games I bought this year. The differences are often very real and substantial.

Those games look better than anything on the 360, yet conveniently did not make the comparison against the 360 best looking games. If multiplats happen to be the best looking games on the 360, then compare them to the best looking games on the other platform which happen to be exclusives.

Not to mention that Motorstorm 2, MGS4, and GT5 Prologue do not look better than the better games on the 360. Forza 3 definitely looks better than GT5 Prologue, because I compared those two myself and there was no doubt.

But yeah, you are right in that you can't really compare exclusive to exclusive because you end up comparing totally different graphical styles, differences in the sizes of levels, amount of enemies, and on and on. You can never sort out all those differences and say for sure which game is best.

my friend wanted me to try CODMW2 online with him, he has 2 PS3's so he let me borrow the spare. In all honesty, and I am being totally honest CODMW2 on the PS3 does not look as good as the 360 version, and before you ask yes I do have full RGB and IMO the 360 version looks more vibrant and has better textures than the PS3 version, the snow levels on the PS3 suffer most because of this, I was also a little shocked at the number of glitches e.g. I shoot a window and shards float in mid air, having said all that nothing was so bad that it spoiled the fun, and for the record PS3 players are pretty good at CODMW2 online, and I am not ging to give out my PSN ID until I can get used to the damm controller, the controller on the PS3 BTW is not that bad for FPS, obviously it will take me some time to get used to being mainly a 360 user. Don't be too harsh against my comments, I am going to rent UC2 at the weekend and look forward to seeing what all the fuss is about.

and the last time I played it was at a friends and i did not like how it looked, but it looks much better on my TV, my friend does not know much about cables so maybe even though his TV is better than mine he is doing somthing wrong, but yeh it looks really good on mine, like I have said a few times there are pro's and cons to the PS3 and the 360, is there enough of a difference to have both?
