Large Scale RPG Being Made For Microsoft

While the Xbox 360 isn't exactly setting Japanese retail on fire, Microsoft Game Studios has made a valiant effort to release Japanese-style role playing games like Blue Dragon.

That doesn't look to be stopping.

Must be Sakaguchi's new game set to be revealed later this year. Microsoft doesn't have much jap developers willing to make a large scale RPG just for them except Mistwalker.

Whatever it is.. at least its confirmation and i'll be waiting excited

LO was pretty good I wouldnt mind a 2nd one. IF it'S something new I'd be also happy. I also think that we need a blue dragon 2 lol.

I bought a 360 after their 2008 "RPG Premiere", and was a little disappointed by the dearth of exclusive JRPGs that followed and the lack of a 2009 RPG Premiere.

I would be over the moon for a LO sequel. It's easily one of my favorite games of all time.

A Blue Dragon sequel wouldn't warrant as much enthusiasm. Maru-maru was one of the most irritating characters ever conceived. Even the Japanese audience that he was targeted at found him annoying. And while it was technically a pretty game, I didn't care for the DBZesque character designs.

Aside from Ming's massive mammaries (with veins and all - even if you're a "tit" man, they were grotesque :P), most of the character designs/ characters themselves in LO were flawless and intricately done. Even the broody, amnesiac hero wasn't as cliche as he could have been. And the steampunk world was nicely realized.

I would guess that this is definitely connected to MistWalkers need game since they get this studio to do all of the actual production aspects.

I keep thinking MS is gonna get GuildWars to appear on the 360.
I picked up the GW trilogy for 15 bucks, new and besides the great deal, the game is really good. No monthly fees and its a pickup and play game

ArenaNet has an exclusive 3 game deal with Sony so, if Guild Wars IS coming to consoles it will be the PS3.

Nothing wrong with the engine itself, but sometimes you just want people to use their own tools and start from scratch, instead of being limited to someone else's tech.

Don't BD have a higher score 38/40 and more sells in JP than LO. I might be wrong, its been awhile since i checked. Both are good games in my opinion.
