Project Sylpheed locks on July 10th; costs $39.99

If you've gotten your hands on the Project Sylpheed demo that dropped earlier today, you may be happy to hear that the release date is less than a month away. Mark your calendars, as it'll be heading towards store shelves on July 10th. Also, the MSRP is a nice $39.99, which is interesting. Hopefully that's not going to strike gamers as an indication of the quality or quantity of content in the game. If you played the demo, do you think a forty dollar price point fits the bill?

I saw a previous comment on the demo graphics being poor. So I pretty much lowered my expectations and noted that I am tired of paying full boat ($60+) for crap games. That Square doing this...I just may pick it up given the gameplay is decent. I want to encourage developers to price their games accordingly. Not everything out there is worthy of $60. It's time they all understood that. **cough, cough Shadowrun....ripoff...cough, cough**

Shrek the 3rd is $60 right?

Shadowrun is a decent game, Shrek the third on the other hand, wow...60 bucks for that is ridiculous. Burning the 60 bucks would amount to about the same.

I do think Shadowrun is a decent game. But thats just it...its decent. It would be a good game at $40. But I feel pretty ripped off paying $60 for it. Not too mention the whole PC version being $50...that made me feel even more ripped off when I thought about it. Demo was ok...but value just isnt there.

just looking at the 360 we have all the following for $60 that are fairly new releases and I would say none are worth more than $50 each...and even that is a strech. Personally I think these are all $40 games:

Shrek 3
Pirates of the Carribean 3
Spiderman 3
Hour of Victory
Tenchu Z
Monster Madness

With Next Gen games we should not only be getting next gen graphics, but the gameplay and mechanics should also be well thought out and implemented correctly if they are going to charge me $60.

the graphics suck... but i almost forgot how great Square-Enix cgi's are... which has me intrigued and anticipating The Last Remnant more... however... for $40 dollars... my mind may change

Just got done playing the Demo, I don't know what people are complaining about. The controls take a little getting use to but hey it's a flying game. Graphics may not be cutting edge but they won't make your eyes bleed by any means, for 40 bucks i'm thinking of picking this up now.
