DjMizuhara sent Playsyde a ten minutes long video of Ninja Gaiden Sigma. The video is not showing the first 10 minutes of the game (since it's basically the demo), but the ending of the second level.
that looks great i got to get me a ps3 ASAP.
Yes, it's a great game and if you have a ps3 then definately buy it, b/c your gonna love it, but if you don't have a ps3 then don't waste $600.00 when you can play a very very simnilar looking and feeling game on the original Xbox. This isn't outrageous looking ps3 graphics, this is slightly bumped up Xbox 1 graphics, if you don't believe me then compare then on video.
Some advice for ps3 owners that plan to buy this game. IMHO this is one of the very greatest games ever. (and dont forget this franchise started on xbox) but seriously if this game's difficulty is anything like the original on xbox then be prepared to evolve to a higher level as a gamer. At the begining there was alot of frustration for me playing this game because it is hard when compared to the vast majority of games out there and that is exactly why i concluded that its such a great game. (not to mention the graphics and content) When you finish it you too will agree and maybe say "all games should be this difficult". oh and XGamer; im a xbox360 supporter too but be honest the xbox graphics were awesome and all but these are significantly better but dont worry cause we all know that according to team ninja themselves, ninja gaiden 2 on the 360 in "going to demoralize other developers" because the graphics are going to be so good.
It looks pretty, although it's hard to get over the fact that there isn't really anything new as far as gameplay goes when you compare it to the original XBOX title. I was also hoping they would add more items to the game that are physically interactive. The enviornment still looks a bit sparse. I wouldn't really want to play through a lot of games simply because of some graphical tweaking, but I know a lot of gamers that would. I'm more of a gameplay fanatic, not a graphics whore.
Not a big fan of the game myself, but the demo is really nice and WOW did I like the fight in the fire! I thought the temperature went up a bit in my room, just watching this video. Some parts were so-so, but overall, this game is definitively moving into my "has to have it" list.
Team Ninja really did a good job. Cant wait to get my hands on this
Team Ninja and the PS3 together = A match made in Heaven. This will be the definitive version of the game and can't wait to see part two on the PS3 either. Looks terrific.
looks very good, cant wait for the game!
the characters slide up and down stairs like they arent there. The environment is basically 2d like an old mortal combat game. Nothing new here at all. If 360 has all shooters I am thinking PS3 has all spinning twirling ballet sword fighting. BOOOOOOORRRRRIIIIING This is like sh!t we saw 2 gens ago. Heavenly Sword kicks the cr4p outta this.
or does the camera seem a bit bad in this game ? And, more importantly, how many villages have to be burned to the ground in japanese games ? Otherwise Sigma does seem like a good games for PS3 to get, even though i would have to agree it`s disappointing, if they havn`t updated the physics too, like ARCHAIC said (I havn`t played the original or the demo, so correct me if i`m wrong here). And if Sigma does well on PS3, i would be suprised to see Ninja Gaiden 2 on PS3 either, although it would probably came at a lather time than a 360 version.
Whoever's playing is either fooling around, or very bad at this game. The entire gameplay part shown is a new addition (for anyone who never played the originals), and the first cutscene of Doku is now in game, and slightly modified from the original. The rest of the cutscenes seemed to be unaltered and still CGI.
It looks good, can't wait to play it. The combat system HAS been noticeably tweaked from the Xbox versions, getting hit is a lot easier, and blocking multiple enemies is harder.
Haha, so much lies ppl ... For starters, graphics are really nice, dare say otherwise. Also, someone mentioned the gameplay should be the same as the gameplay of the original. Haha, wtf. There's added weapons (at least one, the katanas (or wtf)) and there's also added maps and playable characters. Don't remember playing side stories with Rachel in the first one ^^ ... Go home fanboys Edit: Also, cutscenes are now ingame. Better looking or not, it's not pre-rendered like the original anymore
So Ninja Gaiden: Sigma has been released here in japan and after traversing 3 malls for a whole day i finally got found the last copy in a gamestop where 3 japs came in seconds after i had the game asking for it... i looked aback as the japanese store clerk pointed at me and told them that i had the last copy for the store in his native tounge... with that said let me begin to give all of you a brief overview of the game. ok here goes. the game starts the same way as the demo did but with quite a great deal of noticable changes. for one, once you boot the game up you are greeted with the same start game Mission options Ranking, and a new option called install. in which you install the game to the hard drive. (i installed it and it went on to give me while the installation took place, a brief story of what the game will be based on) after that I went into option reason being is, for those of you who want this game badly and want to import it from japan but fear it wont work or will only play in japanese cast them into a lake with a boulder chained around it. the game just like the demo supports english and japanese. Note i highly recommend putting the voicing in japanese and placing thetext and subtitles in english. the japanese voice bring forth much more depth and emotional cling to the story and performance and sound more believable. now lets get to the game. Chapter 1: way of the Ninja: the first chapter opens the same way as the demo but with many a changes as i mentioned before. for one Ryu's suit that he starts with isn't the blak shine suit you play with in the demo. in fact it's a purple cloth suit, that looks amazing might i add. and all the items you had in the demo aint there as you start with ryu's dragon sword only. Combat is faster. it seems that they managed to make it even more resoponsive than the demo. everything feels much more smoother... even though the Demo was running at 60fps they managed to make it even faster at least in my opinion and you should notice this from playing it immediately. viusals stunning to say the least... as a matter of fact Tecmo has even managed to tighten up some of the effects.. the self shadowing has i'mproved and the blood doesn't look like it just floats and stick out in obtuse angles like they did in the demo. the blood sticks on walls and the camera panning has been tweaked some as well. so the visuals have improved, but not that much you can tell but it isn't by a great deal... which aint bad either. there are also a slew of new items introduced like the lives of the Gods and the Talisman of Life which ressurrects you from death and extends your life bar respectively. and that pretty much is the first chapter in a nut shell. you face Doku as the boss and that chick runs in and says ur village has been attacked... thus starts Chapter 2. Now chapter 2: titled the Hyabusa Village, is the Most B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L chapter yet. if you thought the first chapter of the demo was hot Ish.., this totally Pwns it... for all of you with an HD Set 720p-1080p prepare to have your Jaws forklifed off the ground. the enimies here are just so highly detailed as you face of Samurais and and new ninjas that fly and Glow. and horsemans that are on fire. and all absolutely gorgeous stuff. especally toward the end of that Chapter. Xbox fans who've played the original, remembers that awesome and beautiful CG scene of Ryu facing off all those ninja in the burning house just before facing that dark armor samurai weilding the Dark dragon Sword, well let me say it is here when you jaws will drop to the floor again this time leaving a crater on the floor, because you get to play through this portion of the game as well. this is where Tecmo shows off alot of the brute strenght of the PS3, for one. the embers and burning wood and falling roof and such all look glorious, the lighting is amzing and the cinders and flames burning and whisp and frcker realistclic with flash burst of flames all over happening on screen while you're fighting of 5-6 ninja and samaurai on sreen. when you finally have the bout with the dark samaurai weilding the Dark Dragon sword he kicks your ass.. yeah it's possible to beat him but you just dont have enough life to do it... i got creamed after taking only three slashes ast him. and the chapter ends when your loose. the start of chapter 3 opens with some really impressive and reworked cgi which at times you cant tell if it's game play or CG rendered in realtime. RyU starts his Journey for revenge and is on his way to fight off the Vigoor dynasty or something like that on board a blimp like airship. this is where tecmo rares their heads with their frustratingly sadistic difficulty... after the first chapter and second chapter you are cut off from easy... now you really start dying and trust me you will right ow i'm stuck on Chapet 3 where i have to fight off a sh1tload of very smart ninja enimies and excellent AI they attck and move swiftly, firing bullets and sliting your neck and so forth if your not carefull.. but thats where the dual Swords comes in you find it at this stage. and when i tell you you move even quicker that the demo here. your moves arent as slugish and much more responsive and quick here, iminent that tecmo has done alot of fine tuning before they they released it. Thats all i have for you all. Chapter three is kicking my ASS and badly, LOL!!! i'm gonna go back and try to finish chapter 3. So to answer the questions at hand. Does the game live up to it's devlopers Hype? Fuk yeah it does. Has it improved on the the Graphics and responive game play? yes, and it's clearly evident. with the little graphic fixs and increase textures and even better self shadowing. Is it worth buying a PS3 over? well thats arguable, but for tose who looking over the fence. it'll definately make you consider it because it looks amazing and better than the demo, though minute, better is still better. Is it worth Importing if you cant wait? Fuk yeah it is!!! espcially because it supports english voices and subtitles. Go right ahead head and start looking to purchase it from online retails on the east coast and ask for 2 day shipping. IS it well worth the Purchase? IF you played the original and want to play it again and you have a PS3 dont wait get it Now! and those who havent. get it Now it' s an experience like no other. This is why team ninja and tecmo tell devs and fanbois all around to get out. they know nothing about the PS3, if you dont want to work dont make half assed games for it, man up and deliever. Tecmo's Team Ninja has Crafted a masterpece for the PS3, far from a Hi-def port or rehash of the best XBOX 1 game ever. but a true reinvention.. and with how hard it was for me to get the game when it came out on the 14th over here. this is a clear indication that the PS3 will have contiued support from Team Ninja and the Game has already sold over 190,000 copies and is well approaching the 200,000 mark. When they release it in the states expect the same if not better sales and a few more PS3s to go off shelves as well because the 20 gigs and 60 gigs were sold out in 2 or the 3 malls i went searching for the game in. the games are coming.. visually this game pissis over lost planet. not Gears though. it's right now the best looking PS3 game out there and one of the most beautiful games out there for any platform. Sony's PS3 is a Beast and it took a beast of a Dev like Team Ninja to show just a glimps of it. i eagerly await their next title for the ps3 what ever it mayBe. Ps3 gamer tags SEVIREDgamer and Daisuke-04 enjoy the game when you all get it because it's amazing
Dont be mad because you dont have a ps3 and have tp play an xbox game inupscaled not true HI def. the Game is a master piece and after playing the original and playing the ps3 one your comment is as shallow as your Head. there is alsway One raving fanatic opposing everything good for the ps3. get a life man Go back to playing gears or Lost planet. because thats all you've got.
In NG Black for the Xbox the Samuraii boss chopped off a ninjas head before turning around and seeing Ryu. And Ryu got slashed up pretty bad before it goes into the next level. The CGI scenes looks exactly like the original xbox. The recent reviews have been saying the camera is pretty bad so looks like you dont get the camera of NG Black but the camera of the original. Wow, I'm dissapointed. Looks like we got the better version again! ;)
Was not fond of it on the xbox 1 and it still looks boring to me. Id much rather play God of War than this game.
