A new hint dropped on Twitter by the UK EA developer rekindles old suspicions.
Hmm, now this is quite interesting, but I don't know how they'll find the time to do it, since they are working on a new Need For Speed. We'll wait and see I guess!!
Well they've done racing, FPS, handling Need for Speed, and now...snowboarding? If true, I'd love to see how they handle SSX. Too bad EA shut down EA Sports BIG
An HD version would be awesome
I don't give a sh1t about Black, NFS, or SSX. Just give me another Burnout.
I really hope this is true. Snowboard games are so underrated.
i will go nuts if ithis is true! i loved all the ssx games on ps2.imagine them in HD 60fps tearing through that mountain! bliss
Yeah, I could get excited for a good SSX game... but it has to be good like the 1st and 3rd games.
The first SSX on the PS2 was one of the best games I played all generation. I hope they rekindle the old flame in a BIG way! (pun intended, lol)
Woah awesome news! I think the SSX series is one of the best out there
Lol so criterion is doing a new NFS burnout, Roadrash and SSX ummm ok well if they have the staff they are the one developer that can pull them all off. Hope all the sports big guys have moved in, and we want ssx tricky 2 not all that open mountain crap!!!! :)
Hope it's true.
I hope this is true! SSX 3 was one of my favourite PS2 games ever.
I prefer NFS, but still, i remember those times with ssx3, that was a really fun game.
San Francisco Rush series were the only legit racing games.
i loved the SSX series, played it alot as a kid but san fran rush was just to much fun via 4 player split screen
Awesome SSX is one of my favorite snowboarding series
Blur was ok on the Wii, but I've never been too enamored of the series. I prefer 1080.
After all these years, I still remember the voice in 1080 on the character selection screen. "KENSUKE KIMACHI!" or "RICKY WINTERBORN!"
A new SSX game could be cool. I'd especially like to see a balance board game.
That smells of Tony Hawk Ride epic failure.
SSX is the best snowboarding series there is! SSX Tricky set new standards...and then SSX 3 just sky-rocketed the series to unreachable. On Tour and Blur were...meh...but I still love the series. I really hope this is true.
would be interesting if EA did a Snowboarding game in the vain of EA Skate, kinda grounded in reality and less whacky, but still have some sick drops and pipes. maybe even get some Pros on there to help the game out. we need a real snowboarding game, that shaun white game was über fail.
Oh, please please PLEASE let this happen! I've been craving a new SSX for the past few years!
shaun white, ampped 3, ssx blur, and stoked have been major disappointments... bring back a true ssx, no balance board or natal required please.
Transworld Snowboarding is my all-time favourite snowboarding game.
They aren't working on a new SSX game. Alex Ward and several other people at Criterion are huge fans of SSX and it's been snowing like crazy over in England these days. They're too busy with Need for Speed for SSX anyways.
I loved SSX on PS2. There is just Shaun White's Snowboarding on the PS3 now and that game is terrible.
Please...PLEASE let this be true!
Please, oh beautiful and generous Gaming Gods..... please .....*weeps*
Criterion + EA= fail because they make games, EA are just pimping them
lol, the hours i spent on my PS2 with SSX3 and On Tour >_>
Don't change the gameplay! only change the graphics thank you criterion!
I would like for them to work on Burnout and Black. Black looked amazing on my PS2. The explosions and effects were amazing.
SSx was always fun, although it kind of got tired after a while, maybe these guys can bring it back.
SSX tricky 2 please.
Tricky! I spent so much time on PS2 Tricky. The Xbox controller didn't have enough shoulder buttons. It's the only reason I've still got the PS2, just in case I need a fix again. Sublime.
I never really got into SSX, i was always playing Amped on my buddy's xbox. IMO, Amped is the best snowboarding game ever made.
