Spawn Kill Review: Assassin's Creed 2

"Overall the game is a gem. It's a true sequel that improves upon its predecessor in every conceivable way. It adds and fixes and carves a trail for sequels far into the future. It also has one of the grandest endings I've seen in a video game, though opinions on the nature of the ending may vary. The idea of a sequel is without question. The only unknown is just where our dumb bartender will find himself next. Personally, I'm hoping for steampunk England, but it could be anywhere."

Sounds a lot better than the first one, that's for sure.

Yeah, everything I've read has said this is a vast improvement over the original. I've never played Assassin's Creed 1, but I do want to try this one at some point.

I hate skipping into a sequel when I haven't played the first to completion, but it got so repetitive halfway through! Everyone seems to be saying otherwise for AC2 though. Do I go back and finish AC1 or just jump into AC2...

You don't need to finish AC1. The beginning of this picks up right where that one leaves off, but it's not too tough to see where that was.
