Come on, everyone knows Japan and America are the only civilized countries in the world. Rabble, rabble!

BigKev453213d ago

Must be a reason why your called "prince of lies".

Simon_Brezhnev3213d ago

well Street Fighter stereotype about all nationalities except Japanese. Look at how fúcked up they stereotyped Balrog in the story mode.

socomnick3213d ago

Balrog is supposed to be Mike Tyson I think its an accurate depiction of him. Money hungry, slow witted , boxer.

Looking for treasure instead he finds some kid to rape.

evrfighter3213d ago

I lol'd at how they did Rufus.

Imo he's the modern day version of ken.

It's street fighter and it's not going for realism. I mean, there's a green guy and projectiles like in Mortal Kombat.

Rocket Sauce3212d ago

If video games have taught me anything, it's that all Japanese people scream at each other and throw fireballs all day.

I can understand where they are coming from, this is also Street Fighters 1st Korean character. So, I agree it should be done appropriately if Korea asks . . .

ReBurn3213d ago

Like they did when they included Blanka from Brazil or Dhalsim from India? Because that's totally what I expect Brazilians and Indians to look and behave like. And the stages? I'm sure every palace in India has elephants in it.

I think that people are taking this a bit too seriously.

Setekh3213d ago

Little insecure if they are worried about the portrayal of a video game character eh?

Optical_Matrix3213d ago

I think it goes a bit deeper than that. Remember they are called World Warriors. So there portrayals of all kinds of nationalities in Street Fighter. Also this being the first Korean character in the series, they want it to be done properly :D

Baka-akaB3213d ago

but it's not like the others are done properly , so they are a bit too ticklish here .

Saves maybe japan , every country in SF is misrepresented and caricatured . Let them be angry all they want .

I say either represent everyone as parody , or everyone properly

Athlon3213d ago

It's actually South Korea. Did many of you guys criticizing Korea even read the whole article? South Korea is into gaming in a very big way, especially online. They could be compared to Japan in a lot of ways, especially the young adult culture. They're complaining that stage looks like China, even the characters look and dress in Chinese attire in the background. There are no towering buildings or people in the background representative of South Koreans.

Baka-akaB3213d ago (Edited 3213d ago )

and wich got nothing with what some of us are telling you .

The other places arent properly represented neither ... and are caricatural . It's hardly just the south korean stage missing things or having things that dont belong .

Redempteur3213d ago

lol they want it done correctly ? lol ... i fail to see how abel , el fuerte are accurate representation of their countries ..
