Dont know really what this means.

But is it so that in Au you dont have a game regulations of 18+.
So with this games can be played in Au with more violence.

All aussies, email him, and keep it civil, because it will only fuel him more

DecoyOctopus5261d ago

so... aussies can now play mature games?

inSaneELF5261d ago

Not yet. The government is opening the possibility to discussion and AVP is being reevaluated for classification.

CryWolf5261d ago

The people need step up to change the rules from Australia government gaming rating board cause if you think there really going to let australia people play mature games thats to easy, then your lying to you self.

Noctis Aftermath5261d ago

@crywolf: the people need to step up? while it would help, something like that would be almost impossible to organize, most gamers(not limited to australia) would not go out and rally for something like this.

There is only 1 man from 1 state preventing this from happening, i don't live in that state so whatever i say has no effect.

You are obviously unaware of the issues surrounding an R18+ Classification in Australia, please read up on the matter if you're going to comment on it.

Hopefully if this occurs I can tell a few friends that they may not have to keep importing games.

maniacmayhem5261d ago

Now that's sticking it to the man!

CryWolf5261d ago

You guys know why are we still talking about Australia the people from australia don't care because if they did they would step up and tell the Australia government they want to play mature games.

inSaneELF5261d ago

For the most part, they are.

Noctis Aftermath5261d ago (Edited 5261d ago )

Every state and territories attorney general except the South Australian wants this to happen, so as a new south welshmen how can i change the mind of the attorney general of SA? i can't, plain and simple, he is a stubborn fk that refuses to see video games as anything more then something for the kids.

Immortal Kaim5260d ago

Again as above.

I don't live in Australia I have hear this bull before if the Australia young people can't step up to one person then maybe they don't deserve to play mature videogames, when people write this kind of stuff they better do something about it like protests or something.

Vegas5260d ago

jesus christ stop saying step up.

Bathyj5260d ago

Just what exactly would you have us do?

Walk the streets with "I game and I vote!" signs? You really think a protest or an angry letter will change anything? I have to work days you know.

As others have said, it one guy in one State. He's actually the minority, holding out on his self righteous crusade to save all the children from the horrible games.

And its not like he can just be voted out next election, its an appointed position, no one gets elected by the people into the OFLC, otherwise we'd have some younger blood in there who were a bit more in touch with the times. This guy probably still thinks fax machines are witchcraft.

I live nearly 2000 miles away from this douche. Yeah Australia is a big place. The phrase bigger than Texas cracks me up cos Tasmania is bigger than Texas. Look at a map if you want to know why thats funny, Tasmania is our smallest State.

So before you get on your high horse and say the people aren't doing enough about it, take into account we are dealing with a hypocrite here. One guy saying gamers shouldnt impose their will onto the majority.

Oh the irony.

Immortal Kaim5260d ago

My point still stands, you don't understand the situation involving our rating system, our attorney generals or the power of veto which is the SA attorney general's trump card, so again don't bother commenting on the matter with which you know nothing about.

Three Alternatives To Aliens: Colonial Marines

Gamer Euphoria writes:

''With Aliens: Colonial Marines being a utter disappointment, a lot of people are looking for something to fill the void. Something to fill that intense atmosphere steeped in tension. People are wanting to feel vulnerable and easily killed. Others wish to play as the ones doing the killing. These are a few alternatives to Aliens: Colonial Marines that will certainly fill the void.''

His smiling face makes me want to punch it. For shipping unfinished, bland, and shallow games he should get the absolute opposite of an award.

I was so mad when I bought AVP and it wasn't good. I really liked the demo of Sinper Elite V2 though.
