CSM wrutes: "Devil's Tuning Fork is a free PC download game developed by a small team of college students from DePaul University. Highly experimental in nature and presented in a first-person perspective controlled using a combination of the mouse and keyboard, Devil's Tuning Fork is set in an abstract world inspired by the art of M. C. Escher with gameplay that attempts to let the player experience what it's like to "hear" their environment instead of see it. A small town is alarmed when its young children all start slipping into comas. One child (the player) awakes inside the a claustrophobic alternate reality where the player must navigate a pitch-black world with the help of a magical tuning fork to find the cause of the epidemic."
PCGMedia's Tom takes a look at 5 of the best spooky, offbeat titles to play this Halloween.
Bitmob editor James DeRosa: So here we are at the start of another year, lists aflutter. And this is one more (list, that is): the five best free indies of the last 12 months. By my own count, I've played over 60 of these cheap, stupid, uninspired games. What can I say? I'm a poor, cheap bastard myself. But that does not denigrate the quality of these five titles; in fact, it uplifts them.
I need to check these games out. I've heard so many good things about Digital and Devil's Tuning Fork.
@Garos82 Give it a sec, and it should work. We're doing some maintenance over at Bitmob.
DIYGamer: "In the mood for an in depth indie session? Good news, we’re back again with another batch of great links from around the web."
