PS3 Sales Exceed 1mln PAL Milestone
Reeves told MCV that the sales barrier had been broken in a little under ten weeks, making the PS3 a faster seller than its predecessors.
"Early last week we went through the one million mark on PS3. And we did that in nine and a half weeks," Reeves (pictured) said.
"That was faster than both PS2 and PSOne. And I think that the analysts out there will also realise that it’s faster than our brothers and sisters in the competitive world."
The Sony Europe boss also said that roughly two million first party titles had been sold. The most popular, Insomniac’s Resistence: Fall of Man has, Reeves claims, shifted around 600,000 units, while Evolution’s MotorStorm has surpassed the half million mark.
