Is Makarov from Modern Warfare 2 immortal?

PSFocus writes: Makarov, the bad guy from Modern Warfare 2 has been found as a character in the WWII game Call of Duty Classic. It could also be his grandfather or the fact that Infinity Ward isn’t original with Russian names.
