But for all the faults of Valhalla Knights: Eldar Saga, action RPG starved Wii gamers can be be very forgiving souls. The love/hate relationship can reach a fever pitch on either side of the scale depending on your level of benevolence and ability to find beauty through the hideous.

This series is destined to be quickly forgotten in the west (it actually has a strong niche in Japan), which is a pity, because there’s a lot to like about these games. They're not for everyone, but JRPG fans looking for something a little different would do well to try these out.
Neocrisis: Continuing a bumper year of releases, Rising Star Games has confirmed Eldar Saga's 2010 release date as 17th September. The game will fill a niche in the current games climate by appealing to Wii owners who are interested in the RPG format.
