The game will be published abroad by Ignition Entertainment, though it has now been secured as a XBox 360 exclusive title, according to the press release.
Or is it? The new teaser trailer accompanying the game's reintroduction gives PS3 fans some hope that the game will be available on their platform of choice. Towards the end of the trailer, a shooting segment clearly shows the game is being played on the PS3.
With Tokyo Game Show merely days away, everyone is anticipating the announcement of new games. Rumors have been flying from all corners of the internet, with whisperings that fan favorite franchises like Legend of Dragoon, Suikoden, Skies of Arcadia, Grandia, Kingdom Hearts and more may make an appearance at TGS 2009. And while PS3Center is definitely looking forward to whatever new reveals take place at the show later this week, PS3Center would also love to hear more on titles that have been announced at previous Tokyo Game Shows but have been deathly silent ever since.
Rainy Woods definitely looks a little dated now, but I would be downright shocked if we didn't hear at least a little bit about it at TGS. MMV has been talking about switching their efforts over to the PS360 ever since their Wii games have been flopping left and right, so it would make sense for Rainy Woods to make it's grand reappearance here.
Theres a reason the majority of those games are vaporware... they don't look impressive at all...
i was looking forward to that game as well nothing been mentioned since e3 2005 now 4 years later nothing still has been mentioned about it
OXCGN:
"Prior to E3'09 I listed 22 games gone Missing In Action (MIA) that I hoped to see at E3. Well in this update you will see which ones re-appeared, which ones remain lost, and which ones are stuck in production waiting for a publisher to help out."
Well I'd certainly like to play for Ms Dark, that's for sure.
I thought we would have heard about some of the ones still MIA though, plus there were a few quite horses that slipped through no one was even expecting . ..
What happened to all the MMORPGs that were supposed to come out on 360? They just did a Casper....
OXCGN:
"These are games that must make an appearance at this year's E3, or they will be presumed dead or dying. This time there are some sequels among the 10, and as always if you've seen new information about them, or have other missing games to add to the list, let us know in the comment section below."
List includes Doom 4, Perfect Dark 2, Halo Chronicles, Star Wars Battlefront III, Age of Conan etc.
I'm more interested in Wolfenstein than Doom. Could Doom 4 be better than Dead Space?
Some of those less known titles are interesting too...but look like they need polish (and maybe publisher help?).
Man Age of Conan for 360 has been taking forever...surely it must show up at E3?
That Darkest Days civil war one looks cool and my fingers are crossed for Halo Chronicles and Doom 4.
I know for a fact there's news about Section 8 at E3...
But I'd love news about AoC.
I dunno about Doom 4. They hyped Doom 3 so much and then I was bitterly disappointed when it finally came out after those years of development, I doubt I would be interested in Doom 4.
while going through these games I could see plenty of potential for the console, irrespective of platform. There's several others that have also gone MIA unfortunately. WHich is quite common with games these days.
SOme simply go into hybernation and pop back on the radar a few years later or simply fade away into the background.
BUt several of them could well be up for a mention at E3 this year, as many of the bookings we have with the various publishers could shed some light on them, we'll be sure to ask, that's for certain.
Someone screwed something up.
Probably didn't pass Sony's Quality Control >_>
Seriously though, I remember being really excited about this game in 2007. It hasn't aged well, but I'd still play it. Actually surprised Sony didn't try to grab it to counter Alan Wake.
I need to see a trailer.
That screenshoot looks a lot like Res. Evil 4
better not betray us !
