Style Savvy puts players in the role of a clothing store manager. After naming your character and customizing her appearance, you're put to work in a shop called Strata, where you're trained in the basics for helping customers find clothing they like, dressing mannequins to draw in new shoppers, and purchasing new merchandise for the store. After you've mastered these skills, you're sent to manage your own store, where you get to choose the name and decor. You must then build up your store's reputation bit by bit, from satisfied customers to victories in fashion competitions to fashion magazine articles that feature your store.
Know what is amazing? There are actually four Style Savvy games now! This Nintendo and Syn Sophia series has given Nintendo DS and 3DS owners opportunities to run stores, put together outfits, participate in contests, create clothing, decorate rooms and even help pop stars find their way in the world! The series has exploded over the years, but people unfamiliar with them might mistake the games as something for children. But really, it is so much more than that.
Phil of SPC writes, "For a company that's been in gaming for several decades now, Nintendo has amassed an insanely robust repertoire of franchises that have mostly withstood the test of time. However, for every Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong, and Pokemon, there are franchises that are overlooked and don't receive the same kind of pomp and circumstance. These five Nintendo franchises I have selected qualify as those. While such a category of game franchises is certainly subjective, I've tried to pick the ones from Nintendo that don't get their due diligence. Nice list, barring 1 franchise...Style Savvy!? Cant really comment as Ive never played a game is said franchise, but come on. Id personally place Rhythm Heaven games in the place of Style Savvy.
