Hot on the heels of this morning's Call of Duty 3 first look, we're pleased to confirm that Call of Duty 3 has now been confirmed as a PS3 launch title, cementing the game's release date for November 17 2006.
If anything its gonna be a little worse than the 360 version. This game will be ported from the 360. COD3 is being developed on the 360 and the PS3 will get the port! I can see you have no clue what your talking about by your stupid comment. "PS3 version will be better"...lol Yeah OK buddy!
because ps3 will rule the world, sike its gonna be the same just with different control schemes. and i wounder if the included the tilt technology in this game for the ps3
If you are a 360 owner (as I am) you are still aloud to come to the PS3 area for info on the console. Seeing as how I will also be PS3 owner .... I'd like to know what I am dumping my money into.
While it's sure to sell a considerable numbers on launch of the PS3, it's certain to sell more on the Xbox 360 - with an installed base of almost five million approaching fast, leading on this platform is a certainty.
To delight your taste for carnage and all things war, we've gathered our thoughts together for a first look on the Xbox 360 version today, although we're told that there should be nothing between that and the PS3 version in terms of graphics or indeed gameplay.
it amazes me how silly people can be about a game.like # 1 for instance, this will be the same game period, no differance in graphics of features, but yet you still say it will be better on the ps3.now if you wanna get technical, everybody knows the xbox does FPS better than PS.but were not going to get into that!! if you like the game or want the game buy it, but keep your fanboy comments to your self!!!everything doesnt have to be a war!!
It will probably be the exact same price and look pretty much the same. If any difference, maybe slightly better on PS3, but not much different. Good news that this is a launch title, I know I'll be buying it.
If games are crap in the 360; make sure you don't get the PS3 because even this game will be on the XBox 360. Also, though I respect your opinion about the 360 I and a few million people don't share it. Also, if I would be you I would write your comment like this, "had a 360 but sold it on eBay, because I [think] it was crap, and [I didn't like any of the games]." this way you don't look like a fan boy that is lying or does not know what he is talking about and is bias to Microsoft because he like Sony/Nintendo or only play titles like Mario, metroid and Metal Gear.
cause that was some blatant Sony/PS3 bashing going on there. i mean, Heavenly Sword flawed (despite the fact that it still has several months of development time left)? Resistance, which graphically looks at least as good as COD3 while offering something besides the tired WWII theme, lackluster? Warhawk, which also has several months left to improve, lackluster? and all this coming on the heels of the 360's flawless (obvious sarcasm) launch? so far the PS3 launch games are looking better than 360's did back in Nov. as far as COD3, i'm not really into WWII shooters. it still looks good however. i did read how the developers were able to do a bit more with the PS3's version, with the lighting and various effects, but that otherwise the two versions would be indistinguishable. oh well, IF i get a PS3 when it launches i MAY look into this game. otherwise, i'll probably be busy with the aforementioned Heavenly Sword, Resistance, Lair, and a little gem called Gears of War.
a xbox fanboy wrote the article. how can he say flawed to heavanly sword ? did he played the game ? he only saw the screenshots like we all, and they are very impressive. this game will be far better than cod3. this xbots are a joke.
There is an Article that states Call of Duty 3 would be a PS3 launch game, and the game would not have 1080p output (the game will be identical to the Xbox 360 version, so 720p/1080i).
Call of Duty 2 for the 360 was Unbelievable. The Graphics and gameplay was next gen when it launched. But what did ps2 owners say? "Its just like the computer version"... I think thats a compliment but they try and use it as a downer. That's great that you can have a game come out that you can play on a 300 dollar system and it look the same or in my opinion better than a 4000 dollar computer version. Now here is the funny part. Now that Call of Duty 3 is coming out for Ps3, xbox360 and Pc what are sony fans going to say now? A great game is a great game. Fact of the matter is there won't be any major differences between the 3. If there is it will be the ps3 being the lesser of the 3 due to less time in developement, hard to program for, and not nearly as much memory as the 360 and a computer. But from what developers have stated they all look pretty much identical. But yet Sony fanboys will say..."ours is better"...Why? lol...Why do they make everything a competition when they have no clue at all? I'm just glad gamers have a choice.
1. Spend 300 dollars on a 360 and 60 for Call of Duty 3.
2. Spend 600 dollars on a ps3 and 70 or 80 for Call of Duty 3.
3. Spend 4000 dollars for a cutting edge computer and 50 dollars for Call of Duty 3.
Thats what its about. Not which you think is better without comparisson yet. Just which you prefer due to the system you choose. Its a beautiful time to be a gamer. The choice is yours. Let the PEOPLE speek.
Did you get a $300 360? I don't know anyone thus far that did. So at least make your comparison fair, compare the $400 360 to the $600 PS3, and $2000 for a PC. You should be able to build a cutting edge PC for under $2k easily. If you want to buy an Alienware, then I could see that price.
The game will probably be the same price for 360 and PS3, so that's a moot point. Then it comes down to which console you have, or which one you would rather play it on. I'd rather play it on PS3 because I plan on getting one at launch, and don't plan on getting a 360 for several years. If I had both consoles and both games were the same price, which is likely, then I would get the PS3 version because of the rumored better lighting, and few more graphical touches.
But about the other part of your post, I really enjoyed playing the demo of CoD2. It played really well and looked great, a little grainy on the LCD monitors that Target had, but that was not surprising. I hope that Sony has all the demos running on Bravia's that are setup correctly, that would be nice!
you are the biggest xbox fanboy I have ever seen I mean on ign.com on and interveiw with the people who are making the game they even said that the PS3 version will look slightly better and also that were do you read that the PS3 is hard to program for. i mean you are juat like the MArt who says the same thing and loves his 360.
This is the Real Deal We all no that the PS3 will have better graphics (who cares)
The game will look a little better on the PS3 (who cares)
It is the consumer who decides whether to buy the system or the game, and another thing is that you don't even no the price of the game on the PS3
Me personally will get it for the PS3 because I well be getting one but I think Gears Of War looks way way better to have.
that the graphic will be better on the ps3, shows that the ps3 is not difficult to program !!! there was already cod2 on the xbox360, so they have more experience with it, but the ps3 looks better !!! that means ps3 is far superior. period. i dont want to offend someone but this is fact and xbox fanboy should shut up their big mouth. the ps3 is superior.
I wish there was a way to change my name so that it's not similar to yours. You put the F in fanboy, and embarrass me as someone that leans more towards Sony.
I will have both consoles. But REALLY .... seeing as how you do not have a PS3 yet or have never seen this game run side by side with a 360 ............. HOW DO YOU KNOW ??? As I said ... I will have both consoles .... but seeing as how I HAVE NEVER PLAYED A PS3 let alone PLAYED COD3 ON A PS3 ..... I will not make pie in the sky claims like you have done. Dude ... you make yourself look bad with open ended "FACT-FREE" ... "NO HANDS-ON" experience comments.
I think he's talking about the enhanced lighting and the other small, graphical touches. In that sense, he's right, but you're also right. To be fair to the 360, the graphical enhancements on the PS3 version are probably not because the PS3 is more powerful (I think it is), it's moreso because the game is being built and marketed as a launch title for the PS3. And about the resolution, since they're bringing it to 360, it's not surprising that it's 720p, which will be good enough for me.
I can appreciate the SMALL details, but really, if you have played the COD stuff before ... it is very intense and an fantastic game ... not sure about anyone else ... but I did not have much time to hang out and admire TINY shadow and light enhansments .... or in any game for that matter.
I am not knocking the PS3, I just hate this silly pre-teen comments of "My dad can beat up your dad" bullsh!t.
It is getting old fast. I like to come here and read up on the upcomming stuff for both the 360 and PS3 and sifting though the mile and miles of Sh!t is getting really f'n old really f'n fast.
Call of Duty 2 for the 360 doesn't require the hard drive. So what I was saying is all you need is a 300 dollar 360 to play it in its full glory. So yes it is fair. And on IGN PC when they do their comparissons to the 360 as far as Call of Duty 2, Quake 4, Lord of the Rings, Prey, ect..They all compared the xbox 360 version to a cutting edge 4000 dollar pc. If you compare it to a 2000 dollar pc the xbox 360 version is better. But a 4000 maxed out computer is closer. You get some IGN 360 editors saying the 360 version is better by a tad then you get some Ign PC editors say the Pc is better by a tad then you get some that say they are equal. The only difference is the display you play the game on not the hardware.
As far a game price...you are hoping its the same. But that is wishful thinking on your part. Blu ray is more expensive to manufacture than a dvd 9 disc. Thats why Sony has already stated not to be surprised if its over 60 and under 100 dollars.
And yes the 360 games are a year old. But back when they launced and just about all the games recieved 8 or 9 point reviews by Ign and the games were great. Some games like the sports games didn't have the same content as the lesser system counter parts but that was to be expected and ps3 will be facing the same issue. When developers are first trying to learn hardware they make a passalbe product to get things going. Games like Oblivion, Prey, Gears of War and Halo takes years to develope. Like I said before....Its just great that gamers have a choice now. They are no longer forced to spend 1000,s of dollars to enjoy a PC game that is top notch. Thats why pc game sales have been going down. Most people can't keep up with the Tech. But with the 360 thats no longer an issue. I think thats great. I think its great that Sony no longer has the Major exclusives like GTA which forced people to buy their system if they wanted to enjoy that game. Now they have a choice. Choice is good. BTW...Prey is TOOOOOOOOOOO Fun. It got a 9 of course on IGN. Ad another 9 to the list of 1st year games on the 360.
Just changed my username to the above as I don't want to be confused with Achira. I know that the $300 360 without the harddrive can play the game. Then you can put the $500 PS3 into the equation if you insist on using the $300 version of the 360. This is just a pissing match at this point, and it does all come down to choice. The reason that they were probably comparing it to a $4000 pc is that they have to use Alienware's because they're sponsored by them. I would use an Alienware as well if I got it for free or had the money to buy one.
Blu-Ray disc prices are less than $2 if you get them in mass quantities such as Sony has. I believe they're actually less than $1 but I can't access the information where that was here at work. And I think you're misunderstanding what Kaz Hirai said, although I think he made a major goof when he said it. He was essentially saying that they would be priced at the going market rate (what the 360 and Wii are charging), but then he basically said not to hold them to that, if for some reason they were priced higher. He's not saying they would be, he just doesn't want to stick his neck out when the final prices probably haven't been decided by the publishers yet.
Mikey Gee- You're exactly right, this is all just a stupid argument over a game that will look great on all the systems. I can't wait to play this game.
Yeah right. I have a gun and when I shoot it my hands vibrate. The sensation is very powerful. When I play call of duty it is almost the same type of rush.
It means, if you ask anybody, which is more realistic, pressing buttons on a control pad or actually moving the contoller against an onscreen opponent, all will say, thats more realistic. Thats all I mean. Its physically more realistic than pressing buttons to simulate movement.
My little girl is 3. She moves the controller all over the place when she plays this feature will not help her. My mom will do the same thing. My 11 and 9-year-old nephews move it around too. I only see people getting mad when they move the stick and some thing they did not want to happen occurs and there character on the screen gets owned real bad. The motion sensor will only confuse people. You will be all shoot shake shoot shake tilt tilt die. Could you imagine just looking at you watch and our character reacting all stupid. I do not feel that PS3 controller at all. The Wii is a bit more advanced.
Your girl is 3, they can barely control their bodys at that age, and you expect her to control a wireless controller and tilting. This is next-gen stuff, quit being stuck in the past. Also, dont you think these companies have like hundreds of people doing QA for these new technologies. Dont be so against something, just cuz your 360 doesnt have it.
If the Xbox had an HD DVD or Blue ray drive inside it I would not have bought it. If it had a POS tilt sensor in it I would say it sucks. Because those are the two things that are killing the PS3 for me besides the $600.00 price tag. You are the one defending the PS3 like it’s your pregnant wife. Just face it the whole idea of the POS3 sucks like breaking your neck before playing in the super bowl.
For the same reason you are NOT buying, Are the same reasons I AM buying it. I want a high definition movie player, I want the tilt sensing, 600 dollars is not too much from 400. I dont mind paying the extra 200. Its just a matter of preference.
tilt!?!?! listen man, dont make urself sound stupid boy!!! all u sony pu**y boys are gonna look so dumb usin ur sh*tty ps1 pads!! ur gonna look like a tourretes suffere on lsd, the way ur gonna have to jerk urselves around the room like the real morons u R!!! dic*heads!!!
SUPERB.IT WILL BE BETTER ON THE PS3.
And you know this how?
because ps3 will rule the world, sike its gonna be the same just with different control schemes. and i wounder if the included the tilt technology in this game for the ps3
FUN HOW 360 OWNERS COME ON THIS PS3 WEB SITE.
