While not a diehard fan, I came across the anime during a late night cartoon block and immediately fell in love with the character and world he inhabited. There was something so innocent and pure about the animation, Astro Boy himself, and the adventures he went on. Every Game is Osamu Tezuka

Some people refer to Osamu Tezuka as "the Walt Disney of Japan." No offense intended, but frankly that's giving Disney too much credit. That's not to say that Disney's work didn't have a huge impact on art, animation, and film; rather, Tezuka's impact was even more profound. Better to describe him as Walt Disney, Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, and Charles Schulz all rolled into one.
