It's a well-known fact that monkeys like to fling things at each other, so it should come as no surprise that UK developers The Code Monkeys have taken this concept and applied it to their first title for the WiiWare and DSiWare services, in the form of does-what-it-says-on-the-tin Manic Monkey Mayhem.
PSP Minis review by Coty Biggs. Manic Monkey Mayhem is a wittingly entertaining title that mischievously evokes some of that ape-like 98% of your DNA.
From the get go its clear this game is not to be taken seriously, without putting on airs as some grandiose white collar title. No, Manic Monkey Mayhem is simple, goofy, here to stir up chuckles and remind everyone that games don't have to be complicated to be fun.
GDN: "So Manic Monkey Mayhem puts you in the role of a banana throwing monkey. In that role you have to throw a lot of bananas at other monkeys to win. After a massively long, and utterly forgettable (and tedious), string of tutorials, you’re allowed to play the game. Why do I say they’re forgettable? Because a day later, I had forgotten all of the controls and there’s no in-game menu to refresh your memory (poor design there).iphone image - better than PSP."
