What will a soon-to-be-bride do to save her wedding? Will she travel through time to joust with a knight or walk like an Egyptian? World famous cake maker Jill Evans is forced to do these things and much more in Cake Mania 3 for Nintendo DS, the latest addition to the successful Cake Mania franchise. Majesco Entertainment Company has released six new screenshots that give players a closer look at Jill's exploits.
Bright Hub writes: "Jill Evans can't catch a break - now she has to fight off time travel to save her friends from disappearing in the present. And on her wedding day! Grab your Nintendo DS and save yesterday and today by baking your way through the ages."
WorthPlaying writes: "In the sea of casual games, there are a few franchises that stand out and are known by nearly everyone in the gaming scene. Most have undoubtedly heard of Bejeweled or Peggle, as these are both series that have crossed over and found a good deal of mainstream appeal. Cake Mania is a lesser-known entity but is still a franchise that has seen a bit of success beyond an average casual title. Thus sequels have been spawned, and now we find ourselves at the third installment. Cake Mania 3 manages to be addictive and entertaining for a while, but sadly, the game is a bit of a one-trick pony, and it likely won't be long before you toss it aside in favor of a meatier title."
GameZone writes: "I'm a sucker for games like Diner Dash, Sally's Salon and even Burger Island that are fun in quick bursts when you want to kill some time whether it's on your PC or - even better - your Nintendo DS. Let's face it, these games were made for a handheld with touch-screen capabilities but seldom are they good for long stretches of gaming goodness. Cake Mania 3 is the third game in the series but it does very little to keep the fun going before you realize that it just gets way too repetitive."
