Gamestop Removes This is Vegas From Computers, WB Replies

Gamervision reports: "In what appears to be an ongoing trend this year, GameStop has removed This is Vegas from their computers. The Midway title was supposed to be released last year, but was pushed back around the same time The Wheelman was. Since then, The Wheelman was released, and until this point, the release of This is Vegas was up in the air. Amazon still lists the title for a November 30th release, but with no screenshots, trailers, previews, or news in the past few months, GameStop is likely acting on more than a hunch. When asked for a comment, WB PR was quick to reply."

I really didn't believe that this game was still coming out this year, and I wouldn't be surprised if it was canceled.

mastiffchild5729d ago

Yes, I remember reading about this game aaaages ago then they put it off(after it missed a 2008 release)and since then -nothing, not even some shots of the game that we hadn't seen late 2007.

If it's not dead it's doing some impression of it! All I really remember, though, is the daft dancing game in it where you caan fill the floor for a DJ mate if you do cool moves! WTF? He's meant to be this hard guy and he's mincing about doing favours for DJs! That's like thinking Michael Flatley's the biggest gangster in Ireland! He breaks off from a bit of Riverdance to chop off fingers to mail to ransom victims!

I really wanted this game this year I honestly thought we might have seen it in time for christmas earlier on this year but now I think differently shame really.

10 Video Games That Never Saw the Light of Day

A Perfect Dark sequel (after PDZ).

Kameo 2 (but I always saw Kameo as similar to Starfox Adventures in style myself).

Conker's Other Bad Fur Day (Original Xbox had a remake of the original game and Xbox One now has the Project Spark adventure instead).

Donkey Kong Racing (as Rare were bought by Microsoft).

Five cancelled games that deserve another chance on PS4 and Xbox One

GameZone writes, "When looking forward, it’s hard to not also look back and imagine what some games would be like if they came out today. What about the ones that never came out at all? While the chances of any of the following games going back into development are slim-to-none, it’s exciting to consider how much better or more practical they would be today."

As soon as I read the title the first game that came to my mind was Starcraft: Ghosts.

crxss4220d ago

while i agree that some canceled games deserve to get released on the next gen, some canceled games should stay canceled. for example: beyond: two souls.

robtion4220d ago

Beyond two souls is great, have you actually played it?

I would love to see a beyond good and evil 2 (not cancelled strictly speaking but it has been in limbo for a long time).

crxss4220d ago

@robtion haha of course i've beaten it. multiple times. it's annoying when people judge games they haven't even played.

sobekflakmonkey4220d ago

I thought Eight Days, as well as the getaway, not to mention Heavenly Sword 2 as well as red wood falls, all those games could have been great, sad they were cancelled.

DARK WITNESS4220d ago

The Outsider, thats the game I am still waiting for...

and Wardevil.. although I don't think either will see the light of day.

I do think they were too big for last gen, but this gen just starting could handle them I think.

Roccetarius4220d ago

For all we know, Wardevil could've been another game with great ideas, but poor execution.

Anyways, maybe someone will ressurect it later.

zeal0us4221d ago

Jade Empire 2 where art thou?

Tigerfire4220d ago

Not really cancelled, but Lost Odyssey 2!

Roccetarius4220d ago (Edited 4220d ago )

The game may not be cancelled, but it doesn't exist either. Microsoft didn't see any profit in the IP, so i doubt they would fund another.

Personally it was one of the best JRPG's i've played.

You want Ghost then go read the book, simple.

"An AI partner hadn’t really been done right by that point"

lol sure, a little game from 2004 called Half-Life 2 says hi.

Dasteru4220d ago

What one would that be? It has been a few years since i last played HL2 so my memory could just be bad but i do not remember any AI partners in it and i beat the game atleast half a dozen times.

The only AI i remember was Dog and it was never really a partner.
