Nintendo Life: Super Empire Strikes Back Review

Nintendo Life writes: "Following up on the success of Super Star Wars, LucasArts released Super Star Wars: The Empire Strikes back (a.k.a. Super Empire Strikes Back) to an audience already hyped and waiting. As we discussed in our previous review, the story barely paid lip service to the movies, and this release is little better. Even so, the game was a success before it even hit store shelves and legions of fans still cling to it all these years later like Darth Vader to his "ancient religion" but, like Yoda, we must constantly remind these fans of the failures of its predecessor. Will the sequel repeat the mistakes of its father?"

One if my favorite underrated (and poorly reviewed) Star Wars games is Obi Wan on the original Xbox. Is more of a linear action platformer, but I think like, Jedi Power Battles, that style fits Star Wars games so well.

Another one was Rebel Assault II: The Hidden Empire. I love how it felt like you were playing through movie with the live-action cutscenes mixed into what look like photo-realistic gameplay at the time. Double Disc on PS1 and one of my faves as a kid.

I've always loved Jedi Power Battles and Bounty Hunter.

Lens of Truth: Super Empire Strikes Back - Retro Review

lens of truth writes "In this retro Review we take a look back at the second game in the Super Star Wars Trilogy, Super Empire Strikes Back. LucasArts accordingly added Force Powers and a double jump, as well as improve the graphics and sound from the original. You would assume additions like this would greatly improve this series – but don't strain your head using The Force to find out – simply switch on the Hyperdrive and cruise into this retro Review to get the answer."

Awesome game, incredibly tough though.

I got this for the Wii the other day, definitely not for the "weak minded". RotJ should be coming to the wii vc soon, hope that one is more forgiving.

This was one of my favorites back in the day.
I'm happy and surprised that it just got released for the Wii, (thought there my have been some licensing issues or something).
