WoW: Grind Versus Gates, Attunements and You
Blizzard was watching. From the first time you took a short cut to get the Molten Core attunement, they knew that artificial hurdles between the general population and the endgame content would not last. From the flow and Gantt charts required to get the opportunity for trying Mount Hyjal to the keys and random attunements, World of Warcraft has gone opposite field and blown open the doors for people to waltz right in and start raiding with the hardest of hardcore players.
Did attunements work as intended and keep lesser players from infiltrating raids, or where they just an arbitrary border causing more issues than they solved? Is it better or worse, or just different?
