Ars reader gets free Windows 7 after complaint to Ballmer

ARS: Some of the e-mail we get from readers is worth a follow-up. Here’s one from our story on the Windows 7 launch party finalist e-mails from last week:

"Further to your article, I beg to differ on the section that states (and I quote) ‘If you don’t get the second e-mail, or if you live in a country where launch parties are unavailable, you can of course still host your own party, but you won’t get any Microsoft swag,’" our reader writes.

What exactly is inaccurate with this quote? We read on: "I live in the Cayman Islands and wrote to Steve Ballmer (I have e-mails on record as proof) complaining that the Caribbean was left out of the Launch Parties promotion. I received a reply the very next day offering me a free party pack and a copy of Windows 7 Ultimate both 32-bit and 64-bit." Now the Ars reader had our attention.
