Endsights writes: "The Civil War was easily one of Marvel comics’ most well received story arcs. Through a series of unfortunate events, the government decided to pass a bill called the Superhuman Registration Act, forcing all superheroes to register their secret identities and serve as regulated troops for the government. This split the superhero population into two halves, the pro-registration heroes led by Iron Man, and the anti-registration heroes headed by Captain America. This is the story Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 is based upon (though it makes some significant changes of its own), and it serves as a great setting for this latest Marvel brawler."
