Boom score for me. I was the one saying Wii games should be ported to PSN and XBL and now look. Now they can add new stuff to the game and upgrade the graphics, physics, and gameplay mechanic and charge use $40 (since it was a Wii game they better not charge $60 for it) or they can stick on PSN or repackage it how it is and sell it for $20. If this happens there no need for me to get a Wii again until it hits $99 (and that's solely for exclusives).

Now if they do that, then this will really help sell SOny's motion controller and PS Eye giving it a HUGE library from launch. There are probably 500 Wii games if not more, and although about 90% are garbage the other 10% can come over and get the PS3 up with some great stuff that people who don't want a Wii can also enjoy.

Wow that's it. All the great 3rd part Wii games. If it does happen then these will be some very nice launch title to go with the PS3 motion controllers. I thought there were a lot more. Well it's still enough to make a good library if you include the unannounced games Sony have in line for their motion controls.

I wonder if Natal can be used to play these games as well, and will developers port the games over to Natal once it launches. Again this would help them out a lot as well.

All you people saying "They should do this to games X, Y, and Z", does it occur to you that a large portion of the games being mentioned here either don't use motion controls, have motion controls only optionally, or have motion controls that could be easily handled by the six-axis? In regards to those games, what exactly is the Sony Motion controller going change about the equation?

Sony was awful open armed to tons of crap shovelware titles during the life of the PSX and PS2. Why would they pass up a million seller like carnival games? I(f it means they can pretend like someone is supporting their new doodad.

The wand is more similar to the wii mote. New game development as well as wii ports shouldn't be that much more expensive for the wand. Natal should be very different from both wii and wand game development. Will 3rd party risk alot of money developing games that will suit a small userbase with a reputation for not buying casual games?.

Sooner or later 3rd party games use to be exclsuive on the wii will be on the PS3 as well if Sony is aggressive with the wand. With the cost of the PS3 now as well as its advance features. It will definately get those that are looking at the wii to consider the PS3 as well. Why not?.

Nintendos own games are great, some third party ones are ok but I wouldn't tout that as a good thing considering Nintendos in-house games are what makes the Wii. Steer well clear Sony, hopefully MS does too and will develop Natal independently for a much better market result. I think Sony should stay away from the motion control or be labeled a copy-cat far too easily. Their first party games are good enough. If Natal doesn't innovate MS are in danger of that too. Proofs in the pudding so fingers crossed they do their OWN thing.

There biggest competition could definatly be the ps3 as it will use Wii lik wand mechanism's, lol multi-platform Wii & PS3 games.

This is not going to work out well first off it wasn't made for the system in the beginning, so it's basically tacked on to compete making all the current game incompatible. i don't think as much shovelware will be coming to the ps3, don't worry, you may be asking why, but it will be for one simple reason sony will not support bad developers and if they don't have their own cash for the developement then they will not be able to develop, this will insure less shovelware actually comes to the ps3.
I also think you are forgetting that fps are sweet using motion control, so its not all bad.
Plus justy imagine what sony can do themselves with this technology, just imagine a new rpg using these motion controls, that would definately be in my must buy list

Natal will get special made games for Natal, plus a patch on the most important games in its library that work with concepts like this, for example Burnout Paradise.

No, its YOU that doesn't understand the market, target groups of people one sells to and what a new controller does or doesn't.

The Wii obviously sells to casual gamers, and it has made name with the Wiimote. It just sells without having good games overall.

The PS3 sells to hardcore gamers, as the 360 is currently, but the PS3 dildo is nothing more then the Wiimote plus. Hardcore gamers don't use motion controllers, they want their normal ones. Thus: hardcore gamers overall won't buy a PS3 dildo, they also most likely won't be that interested in Natal either.

The casuals won't buy a PS3 dildo and PS3, if they can get a Wii + wiimote, especially not if the price as is rumoured to be 199 Euro or Dollar this Christmas, compared to a PS3 that needs an extra PSeye + a PS3 dildo which ads another what, 70 Euro or Dollar to the price, so it comes up to 370 Euro. Forget it.

Thus, both gamers as casuals its not selling to. There is your problem.

Customers WILL see that there is this new way of controlling games for the 360 when it releases, thats the next step, instead of still a controller with buttons that some might scare off, it has Natal with 48 points in your body that controls games with 4 people at the same time. No extra controllers need to be bought. Now THATS a selling point. Especially if packed with every 360 sold.

Natal isn't old, the 3D tracking cam even is bought from a militairy company from Israel. Its hight tech and not used in a consumer product before. Natal has its own processing device, so the 360 hardware isn't hit for calculating anything.

If anything will work, its Natal and not the PS3 dildo. Because according to you, to whom is it gonna sell if both casuals won't buy it (will go for the cheaper Wii+ all the known games) or the new control with your body 360/Natal, and the hardcore gamers also won't as they will like to use their normal controller???

People are getting so excited about their fantasy worlds right now. This is one of those quotes that someone took to their own means, while it means pretty much nothing. If anything, this is all speculation. Sony has not even announced an Release date for their gadget or a final design! Nevermind how easy it makes ports from wii to ps3 sound! It's actually kinda difficult for an audience who will most likely not buy the games purely because they were once for wii.

Calm down! Have any developers ANNOUNCED they will be porting games from wii to PS3? NO! This means it could take up to 2 to three years for such games to be thrown together since they need to rework graphics from the ground up and adapt controls to Sony's ice cream cone. Nintendo took Sony's idea of motion control with the original EyeToy and put it into a wand and an IR receiver.

Nintendo was a generation late switching to DVD format.

Nintendo doesn't have DVD player capability.

Nintendo doesn't have built-in high capacity storage.

Nintendo doesn't manufacture an HD system.

Nintendo is a generation late in introducing online play.

So if anything, it's NINTENDO that's copying Sony and everyone else once you start seeing these features come to the Wii and the Wii 2 or whatever.
