Forza Motorsport 3 will include 29 models from Ferrari, developer Turn 10 has confirmed. Here are the screens.
Was that a Ferrarigasm?
Yes....im still recovering .
FREEZE! step away from the exhaust pipe ... and keep your hands where i can see them perv
* hands him a "drool bag" * I KNOW....i know...
Fap fap fap.
Is that white patch above the rear wheel of this Ferrari supposed to be lighting? http://medialib.computerand... Whatever short-cuts they've used for their lighting system it results in some truly bizarre artifacts. The lack of proper specular lighting continues to surprise and disappoint.
icon of unique beauty, power, speed and deep pockets
@MNicholas: I have a feeling that you mistook lightning with reflections.
The car models in Forza 3 look fantastic but all of the locations I've seen look barren and bland. @ Jolly1 I don't think you understand what I meant. The environments look static. There's no depth. It's like being on the set of a photo shoot; the scenery doesn't seem real, it's 2D.
That is what race track look like. 2d? http://www.computerandvideo... http://www.computerandvideo... .....boring and bland?
The scenery isn't always brilliant but it's not the focus to be honest. GT5:Prologue's scenery was absolutely terrible as I remember, some nice backdrops but anything in the mid-distance was just cardboard cutouts. And yeah, I see what MNicholas is saying about the lighting in that pic, not because they don't have specular lighting though, in fact what you are seeing is the specular lighting but it's just not that great. The game's looking pretty amazing though regardless.
meagre attempt at specular lighting. The lack of proper specular lighting is one of the great failings in Forza 3's visuals. The polygon models are fantastic but the lighting is simply atrocious. Shaders visibly lack sophistication. Given the large number of artifacts and inconsistenct of the lighting it really seems like they are using some kind of post-processing hack rather than traditional pixel shaders. Perhaps good enough for the average user, however, and that's what counts.
head to the neogaf thread and take another looks at the maps. The new test track and the fantasy maps are all stunning, where as the real maps continue to be as close to the bland real-life as ever.
How can i be the only one commenting ?
your not, I'm just running late today. Ahhh...oohh. oh. oh. eaaaahhhhh. ^o^
Ahh great... These pics are amazing .
They are... but i wish they had one of the F50 GT.
I always thought Ferrari didnt like their cars being damaged, i wonder how Turn 10 gets away with it. The detail is so crazy though, still cant believe the managed to make such a huge graphical improvement in such a short amount of time
Yeah i can only imagine if they had more time to make this game.... But it isnt needed . Turn 10 has done a fine job .
Graphics are like "Pixel Perfection" with the Gameplay that possesses the "Soul of a Sim". Turn 10 is just showing off, but I like it. JOY
They get damaged in Ferrari Challenge Edit - lol @ Disagree, i've stated a fact. @JOLLY1 - It is, while i wouldn't rate it as high as GT or Forza, its a very very solid simulator and one you won't be disappointed in.
The only complaint is that it is only Ferrari's. Which really isn't a bad thing.
All we need now is a 'pothole' level to test one's true driving skills. Goal? Complete the course in record time without damaging the Ferrari at all. Could just use streets of DC as a map setting.
You're thinking of what fanboys claim about Gran Turismo. Comes from some of the lame "dog ate my homework" excuses that Polyphony Digital have come up with to expain the absence of damage in their games. It's absolute crap, to be honest. They're advertising the cars in their game effectively, and they could simply threaten to not include them, or include them without damage and make them unavailable for damage-enabled races. (Meaning people wouldn't use them). So I'm sure they're happy to let the cars be damaged in games.
ferrari challenge feels a little bit better than a ps2 game, which there is one... i don't know, i bought it for 10$ on that best buy sale. wait for forza/GT5
was pretty ok... In fact, i'm still playing it once in a while.... but, it gets boring rather quickly, as it only has , well, Ferraris... obviously. I like to try out more cars .... That's why i loved GT series... it lets me drive a lot of different types of cars... Forza will be able to deliver that as well.
I just want the F50 GT, i fell in love with that car from PGR3. I didn't like it as much in forza2 cos i actually thought it didn't look as good IMO, but i can just imagine how awesome it's going to look with some customer paint jobs and 100 x the poly count.
It is confirmed. Head over to forzacentral forums.
LEts see how many Porsche!! This Game is badass! GT5 68% ? LOL
your retarded gt psp?
Forza 3 is undoubtedly shaping up to the be definitive racer of this generation, I can not wait to see all the critical claim and awards this title will receive, GT5 seems so old hat and doesn't stand a chance with its outdated physics engine and inferior handling.
Zhuk !! My Favorite Zhuk ! where have you been man ? All the ps3 fans have been missing your comments in the open zone.
Dark sniper and him traded places .
I hope you guys are aware they are the same person.
That was my point..lol
LOl.... i didn't know that. There are so many people with duplicate accounts i can't keep track of them all. I am just good old Dark Witness. Always had this name on this site and on live. anyone up for some Cod4 tonight ?
"Forza 3 is undoubtedly shaping up to the be definitive racer of this generation" Shame it will never be the definitive driving simulator =/ .. "GT5 seems so old hat and doesn't stand a chance with its outdated physics engine and inferior handling." remember forza is a arcade racer and is built for fun. gt5 is built to be realistic. stop comparing the 2. GT5 is a simulator Forza is a Arcade 2 different style of racing games (dont say forza is a simulator cause its not. simulators dont have a option to rewind time when you crash =/)
Sims don't give you the option to restart. Oh wait, yes they do. Sims don't give you racing lines. Oh wait... Sims don't need damage....uh... I love that you base Forza being an arcadey game on rewind. I guarantee that you have hit restart more than once. Guess what little guy, restarts don't happen in real racing. Then again, neither does bumper cars.
So get this... I let my friend, who is a PS3 only owner, borrow Uncharted, inFAMOUS, and Gran Turismo 5: Prologue. Now, before you say anything, he is a major GT fan. I mean major. It was his first time playing the prologue of 5. He said that he honestly couldn't believe that GT5:P's graphics were that inferior to Forza 3. Those were his exact words. I told him that they'd look better than GT5:P, but he told me that at this moment, he was looking more forward to Forza Motorsport 3 over Gran Turismo 5. That's honestly saying something.
During a YEAR! More 120 cars starting November!
And..... you're expecting those to be free? O_o
With the largest collection of Ferrari's assembled yet on the Xbox 360, Forza 3 will truly be a generation defining title that receives universal praise and critical claim. Compare this with the decline of the Gran Turismo series, whose recent outing has been critically panned receiving a mere 6.8 at IGN for lacking the innovation and the depth of simulation that is now synonymous with the Forza series. Forza 3 has left its impact on gaming history forever and it is all thanks to the unparalleled power of the Xbox 360. Come October, I know I will be Jumping In with a simulation of this quality.
power of the xbox? lolololololololololol
GT5 the poor mans copy of Forza 3.
more like the one that can afford porsche licesnce lool. hopefully this will be dlc making it 30 cars http://www.motorward.com/wp...
you got it the wrong way round forza is the cheap unrealistic version of gran turismo
"GT5, the poor mans copy of Forza 3" LOL.. that sounds about right ;)
Additionally, to help complete the Italian racing experience, "Forza Motorsport 3" takes racers on a tour through one of the most beautiful destinations in the world - the luxurious Amalfi Coast of Italy. Inspired by the picturesque environments of the coastline, the originally designed Amalfi Coast track is sure to be a fan-favorite for showing off breathtaking videos and screenshots captured in "Forza Motorsport 3's" video export and photo modes. As a circuit, the Amalfi coast is 3 kilometers of challenging narrow cobblestone roads, beautiful beachside vistas, and tight tunnels. In its "Rally di Positano" configuration, the Amalfi Coast is over 19 kilometers of white-knuckled tarmac rally heaven. Fans of point-to-point racing will love getting from point A to point B on the many stages of the Amalfi Coast.
I can't wait for this game but i'm starting to get worried that i might forget to eat, sh1t and sleep.
This GT5 and NBA 2K10 are the only games I need for the next 2 years and I'll Be good lol, racing sims have so much replayability
Forza MotorSport Series , Turn10 and Microsoft ! The Definitive Racing GAME !
Is it getting the 458 italia??? becuase that car just looks INCREDIBLE (looks wise dont know about prefromance) Heres a pic of it: http://stylecrave.com/wp-co... *drools*
I doubt it seeing as its only been announced last month, i do hope it features in GT and Forza at some point mind (DLC maybe)
on neogaf, but don't quote me on this.
haha what a Fake Gran Turismo 29 Ferraris and then 29 tricycles
Forza 3 will be a great game, although I don't play racing sims.
Yea Forza is definatly better than GT5. It's an old game that created the genre and perfected it in the last generation. The developers lost their touch and made GT5 crap. I mean we have seen one car and track in actual game play and its got nothing to do with having the best graphics and physics its all about Forza Mortorsports. which will be redifined because Turn 10 themselves claimed to be so it must be true. From all the interviews I have seen with T10 they seem to know allot about cars especially the guy that makes me laugh ever time i see him (the T10 that appeared in E3 2009). anyways, look how sh!t Gran Turrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrismo will turn out in TGS. If I remember correctly it was PD going to T10 studio to see how good/better Forza is than GT5. GT PSP = 70 GT5 = 50 Forza 3 = 115 Halo ODST = 70 Halo Reach = 110 MGS4 = 100 Splinter Cell: Conviction = 110. In what Microsoft has feed us this is what we believe. Sony feeds you nothing they let you see how their games are, whats wrong with them.
lol what are those numbers about?? scc = 110 mgs4 = 100????? if your rating splinter cell over mgs your delusional n most probably mentally fcked up.
1000 cars. Thats all I need to say. Suck it forza!
And only about 100 of those cars have minor damage. Forza 3... Definitive.
not to mention, about 60% of those cars are the same bloody car just with 4 doors instead of 2. or in hatch form. all they are is just a bigger or smaller car, same engine, so whats the point. also whats the point of tunning a 1994 ford wagon? thats not racing, thats retarded.
100 cars that have INTERNAL damage. All cars will have damage. Nice try, bots.
Wrong. The 100 cars that are able to have damage are the ones with internal damage. I wonder where you pulled up the article that said all 1000 cars in Gran Turismo 5 would have damage. Not like it matters really. There's going to be about 200 cars that you will actually use. If even that.
"also whats the point of tunning a 1994 ford wagon? thats not racing, thats retarded" Sh1t that was funny!
The engine you see here does not have the Tessellation c1 hardware acceleration activated, the lighting engine will be shown soon?
Hm, it's exciting that they've been able to pull off so much with Xbox 360. It's got some serious power, and hopefully developers really start showing off in 2010. Turn 10 does solid work :)
Well, I've only got an PS3, but I have to admit that Forza 3 looks absolutely fantastic! It looks just incredible... I think it's worth to buy an xbox just for this game...
