The Past, Present and Future of Gran Turismo

YourEMGN Writes: "Gran Turismo - The Real Driving Simulator, like all things, started off small. First released in 1997 by the well known Polyphony Digital. Gran Turismo 1 quickly became a huge hit with 178 cars and outstanding gameplay. Pholyphony will definitely release GT6 and 7. Most likely for the PS4.

Battlefield3913d ago

Yeah, it's better when they take 4 - 5 years to produce the games. The quality of it is way higher.

Madusha3913d ago

Definitely if its for the PS4.

But if GT6 is released at the end of the PS3 lifecycle, it could get real close to that. They could possibly find other less hardware intensive ways to implement the same kind of effects seen in that video.

Especially since the Cell Processor is so unique, I wouldn't be surprised if developers keep learning new ways to implement things on the Cell even after PS4's release.
