XBLA Top 10, August 2009 - Shadow Complex dominates

Microsoft reaches the largest month ever thanks to big 'Summer of Arcade' titles. But just how much did XBLA sales improve?

Microsoft proved this month that the Summer of Arcade lineup wasn't just a promotion, but a force to be reckoned with. The digital gaming platform brought in the highest revenue ever for a single month, beating last month's amazing cume of $14.7 million USD with $16.7 million USD. Last year's major titles included favors such as 'Geometry Wars 2', 'Braid' and the blockbuster 'Castle Crashers'.

Quite a big sale but not entirely convinced all are decent deals. Glad to see the 360 gets a few more offers this week. I wish Screamride was on sale by itself!

Gears Ultimate Day 1 Edition? I can understand picking up day 1 physical editions at later dates, that were stuck in the retail channel for whatever reason. Late "day 1" digital sales make no sense at all though.

State of Decay on Xbone is great.

This is the 5th or 6th time they've had Battlefront on "sale" in the last few months
Still overpriced imo
