Game Central writes: "You know those games that head in the right direction, but just don't finish the journey? Unfortunately, East India Company is one of those games. It has the right idea on being a great strategy game, but just falls short on a lot of aspects. It is a real-time strategy game with emphasis on economy; you spend most of your time transporting goods between countries with the "buy low, sell high" mentality. You play as the head of one of eight countries' East India companies, with your main goal to direct your ships to the ports of various cities in India and Africa. Most of your other jobs revolve around your ships: mainly hiring crews to man them, and buying the ships themselves."
