PS3 Attitude writes, "Shane Acker's 9 tells the story of a post apocalyptic world where humanity has been destroyed and all that remains is a group of stitchpunks and the machines that hunt them. LittleBigPlanet features a cute little sack person as he traverses the world rescuing his friends and defeating the nasty creatures that roam about.
You might be wondering why this film would have anything to do with LittleBigPlanet. That's exactly what we're going to tell you…"
I mean, 9 (the short film) was released in 2005, and had been in development for FOUR AND A HALF YEARS before Media Molecule had even come into existence.
If anything, it should be the other way around, with LBP being 9: The Video Game.
Of course, both the game and film stand on their own merits, and I doubt that the similarities are much more than pure coincidence (although it is possible that MM may have borrowed some ideas from the short film).
Either way, LBP was a great game and 9 seems like great film (which I am planning to see next week), and that is all that matters. :D
After seeing this movie I really hope someone decides to make a level based on the movie. It could definitely be done.
Is the movie good?
I didn't like the movie very much. It was o.k.
The movie was just OK to me.
