Ratchet & Clank Graphics Improve

Much like Naughty Dog did with Uncharted 2; it seems that Insomniac has also improved various aspects of the engine for the upcoming Ratchet & Clank.

well the pictures arent even @ high resolution so how do they know the graphics improved? And it only been like 1 month in a half since comic-con.

If you'd listen to the Full Moon show then you'd know by now that there is constant graphics improvement towards the end of Insomniac's game developments, always.

Brian Allgeier, the creative director said "It's just amazing to see how the graphics and overall look of the game has changed in the 2 week time period."

Even though these images shown are very pixelated and lowres, you can still see that the armour of ratchet has changed, and the face is also improved.

InsomniGod, NaughtyGod and SantaMoniGod... There really isn't need for more after this.

They are getting my hopes up for Resistance 3 as well.. I bet it will be the best - and best looking of course - Resistance game.

Many people love Resistance but I hope they do something else. Maybe a new IP perhaps? If they are going to do Resistance then it should be simply mind blowing. GG has set the bar extremely high and I think Insomniac should take some time to meet the high standards set by a PS3 exclusive itself. Every PS3 shooter will probably get compared with KZ2 and it'll be damn difficult to top KZ2 every time.

Killzone 2 and LBP ruined Resistance for me! I only played through the campaign once and I had some good time with the MP, but not nearly what I would have wanted.

yes 360 can, I hav a ps3 slim and a 360, ive been playing ratchet and clank, and I love it, it feels like im playing a cgi kids movie toystory vs robots, but I also have Kameo for the 360 and I feel its graphics are slightly better and its music is epic, now im not a fan of either console just my opinion. and I think kameo came out in 2005 so think what a new kameo would look like :), oh and cant wait for uncharted 2 I think this game will have the best graphics, I think it will set the bar to a new level,as a new ps3 owner, I love uncharted, mgs4, and ratchet and clank, now I played killzone 2 and I think that game was overrated I could not get into it, I found it boreing and to fast paced, graphics were good , but I dont know I feel gears of war 2 has better graphics , and how I like gears better, way more variation in enemies and love the cut scenes. anyhow I like both consoles both have good and bad points and both have good games, to me game play comes first, graphics come 2nd and there is not much between the 2 consoles as far as graphics go, both can do what the other can do from what I can see and have experienced.

Unfortunately the Xbox 360 hardware would blow up if it ever ran such beutiful graphics.

The graphical powerhouse is only to be seen on the true HD hardware of this generation, the PlayStation 3. Games like Uncharted Drakes Fortune, Metal Gear Solid 4, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, and Killzone 2 are some of the released games that are not possible on Xbox 360. As well as the upcoming games, such as, Ratchet and Clank A Crack in Time, Uncharted 2 Among Thieves, Heavy Rain, Eye Pet, God of War 3 and The Last Guardian.

All hail, the true HD console of this generation, the PlayStation 3.

Hard mode was extremely easy on the campaign. But I'm having lot of difficulty with the challenges. And not enjoying the attempts either. So, I think I'm just going to shelve the game and start playing something else without worrying about those challenges and getting the platinum.

I was one of those crazy R1 lovers. that game to me was close to perfect. I loved the graphics. I loved the gameplay and weapons. I loved the weapon wheel, and most of all I LOVED the overall gameplay elements and overall feel of the game!

Enter R&CF... that game was awesome but modified the R1 engine for R&C.

Then it went down hill for Resistance IMO. They needed to separate their tech for the two games, R2 to me was ratchet colorful, and although some parts of the game like the swamp level and the sewer level were AWESOME, it didn't have the personality of r1 in the least.
I also feel they tried to do too much in 2 years and the game suffered for it. Not to mention incorporating other games' trademarks to make it more "normal"

With R3 coming most likely in 2010, i hope they just give us an INSANE single player and a COOL multiplayer. if they want coop, just let two players going online together or play the single player from separate ps3's. I want R1 back!!! but just INSANE and a game that looks like its their 6th game.. can you believe that?!?!? Insomniac have made 5 ps3 games this gen so far.(including the next ratchet)

I am a huge resistance believer and fan, the second one was good but not what i wanted.. here's to hoping resistance 3 can be killzone 2 caliber, (because we already know insomniac are better than GG in some departments) we just need the graphics and the soul of R1 instilled in the next installment and I'm all set. From what I've been reading a lot of you will be all set as well ;) ok rant over, sorry guys lol
