Connecting with… Eric Lempel, Sony's PlayStation Network

Since launching in July 2008, the PlayStation Network has been steadily growing its video service, delivering more than 250 million pieces of game, movie, TV and other content through the PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation Portable to 12.5 million registered users in North America. Most of those were game downloads, but video sales also are up, and unlike many other digital services, 70% were higher-priced permanent movie downloads rather than rentals. Eric Lempel, director of PlayStation Network operations and strategic planning at Sony Computer Entertainment America, spoke with Video Business' Jennifer Netherby

If he answers with total bullshit, by talking about the current success of the PSN so far and totally avoiding the question, I will sell my PS3 and get an XBOX.

Add the ability to use PSN on their Bluray players, Walkmans, etc.

Which means they should offer a music download service, especially since they have the whole Sony BMG catalog.

The music you download from that service should be usable with Singstar without any extra payments. Especially if you download Sony BMG music.
