For the guy at the beginning to have a HALO helmet on while he's at a SONY OWNED studio. Yes it was funny but I think it was insulting to Naughty Dog and Sony. With that helmet he's also suggesting Halo 3's cinema mode.

In Resistance: Fall of Man, and I assume Resistance 2 (I can't remember, haven't played it for a while) when you talked through a headset or microphone, your player's mouth would move. Although it appears to be much more advanced in Uncharted.

All these features are nice, I just hope that it's as fun as Drake's Fortune, my personal favourite game EVER

The only bad thing is that if the Machinima tools are over simplified like they are in U2, there's going to be a LOT of really, really crappy machinimas for every decent one. Just look at Halo 3.

Pretty DX10 graphics and AW actually looks like a game where HR is an interactive movie.

Fraps is a bad example, I would have gone with film mode but even then you couldn't do much with it. Mostly all PCs take a big frame hit when recording with Fraps.

You can send films through messages and even custom game modes. Not only that, you can watch them however you like even go to their film section under their gamertag and watch from there. Your whole campaign is filmed and can be watched as well. You can edit films, capture screenshots from any angle and upload to servers/computer and watch/see from there. I'm surprised you didn't know this.

You can save all your maps, films, clips, screenshots and custom game modes and send them to your friends and recent player. or you can put them in your fileshare. something sorta like a personal gallery that every can acces by looking at your stats or in the pregame lobby. and halo 3's theater mode isn't just a recorded movie file. it's a scripted version of the game you just played where you can actually fly around in with a free cam, switch to other player's views and make clips and screenshots that are automaticly uploaded to Bungie.net so you can save them to your pc quickly. i win :).

Yeah, but its not only the graphics that make this game. This game is actually fun to play and with awesome controls. The best action/platformer by far with good shooting in there as well.

It's not going to turn out extremely well, I can guarantee that.

Matching phonemes to words is an extremely difficult task to do in real time. It will probably just end up looking like the mouth is opening and closing randomly.

But it's still better than the head bobbing in Halo machinima.

Uncharted2 is simply GOTY. It deserves it for all the right reasons. Naughty God has proven once again that they are able to produce quality titles on a supposedly "hard to develop for" hardware while also packing in a full experience for gamers.

If any supposedly "gaming journo" gives GOTY 2009 to any other title then i official give up hope on the gaming industry. Average games should not be rewarded while the true innovative masterminds get no respect.

This is so cool. There are going to be some really high production value of U2 movies. So much replayability. Single player campaign, or online co-op, or competetive mulitplayer, or limitless movie making. All PS3 devs should take the cinematic mode codes from ND and turn it into a standard for all PS3 exclusives.

I agree.. I know I'll get flamed for this, but Halo 3 had a very good and fleshed-out multiplayer mode (including cinema), and I'm glad ND is taking a page out of their book and adding to it.

The machinima mode looks awesome even though I probably won't be using it. At first I thought that since it seems so easy to make stuff, there will be too much crap to sort through... but I thought the same thing when LBP came out and there's been so many good levels since then. I think we'll see some real gems with the Uncharted machinima.

Halo 3 is also two years old, so something similar to Theater Mode SHOULD have more features. As for me, my folks at home are fooled that this was a movie (from watching the trailer).

it is revolutionary just think of what you can do with green screen mode machinema have always been limited with environments but with this you can add whatever backgrounds you want which will make better movies and don't take this as a fact its just a guess but if you can have video play on the green screen you could have drake interact with other game characters kind of like what they do with movie spoofs also i think they said in another interview you can upload straight to youtube something you can't do in halo also cinema mode has been out before halo so why were 360 owners so excited for that but ps3 owners can't get excited for this (i can't reply directly because i'm using ps3 browser)
