IGN: Cursed Mountain Review

Despite the occasional issue, Cursed Mountain is a fun and sometimes frightening title. The adventure's spooky atmosphere is something IGN hasn't seen before, which is refreshing amidst a genre clogged with games all sporting the same themes. It's a smart tale. They felt compelled to discover what happened to Simmons' lost brother, and the make-up of the world, all logically sewn together, drew them in. But the dated controls and level designs, frequently filled with hidden keys leading to locked doors, are just a little too familiar, if not altogether dated. For these reasons, the game is sure to appeal to survival horror fans who've never had issues with those aforementioned control or design shortcomings. If you fall into that category, grab your gear and hit the mountain. And if not, you might want to stay indoors this time around.

The scariest night of the year is now only two days away, a horrifying evening when strange children knock at the door and refuse to leave without a toll of sweets and candy. It's also the time of year when we willingly scare ourselves witless by playing frightening video games.

It suggests turning out the lights, basking in the tiny blue glow of the Wii power switch and trying these titles this Halloween.
