GameHeros’ writer: "Oooh, the joy of Madden’s yearly installment, there may be no easier and less fulfilling review job in the world. To bash Madden is to swim against the current of both football and video gaming, but to strike a chord with the vocal minority who hate Madden for myriad of reasons, least of which is EA’s monopoly over the NFL license. To praise it is to praise the earlier strides made by the franchise that don’t relate to this year’s model, update, version, etc, meaning the reviewer comes off as a shill or monumentally unimaginative…"
