Nice, AAA game confirmed.

LiquifiedArt5742d ago

Wow. Websites are really soft on xbox exclusive reviews.

"GLITHY" and "AI Problems" and still it gets a 9.4?

Did they mention a VERY VERY Short game?

Listen...I think it looks fun and all, but a 9.4? Sorry Highly unlikely. Just like Gears of war was rated so high, yet the online is horrendous? I mean come on people, at least recognize major issues with a game.

bleh

Masamori Sumimura5742d ago (Edited 5742d ago )

the game can take up to 15hours to be fully completed.
What else would you want from a XBLA game?

2Bubbles eh? Clearly a PS3 fan really angry at this review.

edit: Fat princess suffers online issues to and IGN gave the game 9/10
stop crying already .

LiquifiedArt5742d ago

I'm just calling it as I see it buddy. Say whatever you want. Its known that websites skew reviews to entice their readers.

I just think "Glitches" and "Ai problems" and short gameplay are worth more then .6 off the score. Sorry but thats the truth.

MerkinMax5742d ago

It was completed that fast on a speed run. Get over the fact that it's a good game.

JokesOnYou5742d ago (Edited 5742d ago )

If you read the written review theres so many positive things about the game so how can you sit there having NEVER PLAYED the game tell a guy who HAS PLAYED the game that he's wrong, either way its a great score but given this quote some might say he should of scored it a little higher:

"Shadow Complex suffers from a few glitches and could have used a bit more development time, but that doesn't stop it from being one of the best games released in 2009 on ANY platform."

-lol, obviously the game is not perfect, its his job to point out any flaws he may find, however the question becomes HOW MUCH do those flaws impact the game over all, reviewing is not a science so at the end of the day if the "reviewer" thinks its one of the best games on any platform in 2009, then why wouldn't he score it as such?

JOY

Killjoy30005742d ago (Edited 5742d ago )

Or does it seems as though the IGN Xbox Team just wanted to outscore the competition's summer downloadable game? (Fat Princess)

Or it could just be a really great game which is more possible, but admittedly doubtful in this age of fanboyism and the console war.

I'm not trying to start a debate here so lets let the two games be great together and not get into some stupid debate. I'm just noting an observation of mine.

Greywulf5742d ago (Edited 5742d ago )

Good to see a AAA retail rele...

oh wait.

re:

"Or does it seems as though the IGN Xbox Team just wanted to outscore the competition's summer downloadable game? (Fat Princess)"

Well.. read the review of this game/ other reviews. Which says it has tons of graphical problems, directly rips off another game(buh buh teh innovation of the cell), and still calls it fun -- so AAA.

Now, find me a Ps3 game with these issues, including the most important "BUH BUH LENGTH" -- that gets a pass and DOESN'T affect the score. When you can't, you have your answer :-)

I mean a screentear on a ps3 game is a -5pts last time I checked right? But a loading hallway? Get out of here Sony... get outttaa here.

Liquid Dust5742d ago

Looks like you've got a great game on your hands there 360 owners.

Any game that can be mentioned in the same sentance as Castlevania SOTN and Super Metroid definitely deserves some praise.

Killjoy30005742d ago (Edited 5742d ago )

Agreed. I find it funny how Socom got so much flak for its networking problems but Gears 2 around the same release got a free pass from the media when the game was virtually as unplayable as Socom. I swear, sometimes Sony just can't win against a one sided gaming industry these days.

Homicide5742d ago

The thing is SOCOM is just an online only game unlike Gears where you have a single player. I bought SOCOM on launch date, and I couldn't get passed the title screen. I'm not saying Gears of War 2 deserves a 9.4 or not, but you can clearly see why SOCOM got so much flak. They couldn't play the game.

Killjoy30005742d ago (Edited 5742d ago )

Homicide, I see what you're saying but the majority of the Gears 2 publicity came from its popular multiplayer offering that everybody went wild for. And in the reviews, none of the media outlets mentioned any issues with the online portion of Gears 2. As an overall package, of course Gears 2 edges out most games thus far, but don't tell me for one second that Gears of War doesn't share the very same issues Socom was plagued with during release.

BTW I'm in no way making the insinuation that Gears is a bad game or franchise by any stretch of the word.

Montrealien5742d ago (Edited 5742d ago )

LiQuiFiedArt seems to forget that this is a 15$ Live arcade game.

I'll call it as I see it bud, game looks great, its getting great reviews, and it seems to be well worth the 15$ imho. Also, the tinfoil hat wearing Schizos need to relax on the (everyone is out to get Sony crap) its getting very very old...

And Killjoy, if you are comparing Socoms, broken retail release to Gears 2, you are way off man, gears had its online problems, but nothing even comes close compared to what I faced with Soccom confrontation.

Rampant5741d ago

Every review I've read yet has given the game between 9 and 10 out of 10. And i mean 5-6 different sites. Could it be that the reviewers actually like the game? Or did Microsoft buy every review from every site that has played it.

JaPo5741d ago

Jesus Liquifiedart, gotta relax with those fanboy roids you've been popping lately. It won't just make you prone to spouting aggressive, irrelevant nonsense on articles where you're not wanted, but it will also make your penis shrink.

The main character seems like a bit of a Nathan Drake. SC looks pretty awesome to me - and I hadn't even heard of it before this. Very clean graphics and appparently some fun gameplay. Real shame it isn't on PS3.

Quite a big sale but not entirely convinced all are decent deals. Glad to see the 360 gets a few more offers this week. I wish Screamride was on sale by itself!

Gears Ultimate Day 1 Edition? I can understand picking up day 1 physical editions at later dates, that were stuck in the retail channel for whatever reason. Late "day 1" digital sales make no sense at all though.

Pastorfuzz3291d ago

State of Decay on Xbone is great.

OldGuyStillGaming3291d ago

This is the 5th or 6th time they've had Battlefront on "sale" in the last few months
Still overpriced imo
