Listen...I think it looks fun and all, but a 9.4? Sorry Highly unlikely. Just like Gears of war was rated so high, yet the online is horrendous? I mean come on people, at least recognize major issues with a game.

If you read the written review theres so many positive things about the game so how can you sit there having NEVER PLAYED the game tell a guy who HAS PLAYED the game that he's wrong, either way its a great score but given this quote some might say he should of scored it a little higher:

"Shadow Complex suffers from a few glitches and could have used a bit more development time, but that doesn't stop it from being one of the best games released in 2009 on ANY platform."

-lol, obviously the game is not perfect, its his job to point out any flaws he may find, however the question becomes HOW MUCH do those flaws impact the game over all, reviewing is not a science so at the end of the day if the "reviewer" thinks its one of the best games on any platform in 2009, then why wouldn't he score it as such?

Well.. read the review of this game/ other reviews. Which says it has tons of graphical problems, directly rips off another game(buh buh teh innovation of the cell), and still calls it fun -- so AAA.

Now, find me a Ps3 game with these issues, including the most important "BUH BUH LENGTH" -- that gets a pass and DOESN'T affect the score. When you can't, you have your answer :-)

Agreed. I find it funny how Socom got so much flak for its networking problems but Gears 2 around the same release got a free pass from the media when the game was virtually as unplayable as Socom. I swear, sometimes Sony just can't win against a one sided gaming industry these days.

The thing is SOCOM is just an online only game unlike Gears where you have a single player. I bought SOCOM on launch date, and I couldn't get passed the title screen. I'm not saying Gears of War 2 deserves a 9.4 or not, but you can clearly see why SOCOM got so much flak. They couldn't play the game.

Homicide, I see what you're saying but the majority of the Gears 2 publicity came from its popular multiplayer offering that everybody went wild for. And in the reviews, none of the media outlets mentioned any issues with the online portion of Gears 2. As an overall package, of course Gears 2 edges out most games thus far, but don't tell me for one second that Gears of War doesn't share the very same issues Socom was plagued with during release.

BTW I'm in no way making the insinuation that Gears is a bad game or franchise by any stretch of the word.

The main character seems like a bit of a Nathan Drake. SC looks pretty awesome to me - and I hadn't even heard of it before this. Very clean graphics and appparently some fun gameplay. Real shame it isn't on PS3.

Ok.. ok.. so let me get this right.. to PS3 fans, most sites/media is biased and against Sony, except for IGN when they review PS3 games. Which to PS3 fans is because the PS3 game deserves the high marks, but when it comes to Xbox 360 games, IGN is always soft towards 360 reviews.

Wow who cares if its a metroid rip-off? Metroid is my favorite Nintendo franchise and Super Metroid was one of the best games of all time. I'll say that this game doesnt capture the atmosphere of Metroid Prime and the art style doesnt blow away as a Metroid does, but for a download this game looks absolutely slick. I want this to become an XBLA franchise like Pixel Junk.

I think the score is deserving due to the fact that all the best parts of Metroid and Bionic Commando have made it into the game, plus it has managed to add in its own flavor for a breathe of fresh air. To be honest my 360 has not even been turned on in months and this game is going to bring new life into an aging console.

And to all the Playstation fans in the room, my question is why? I too am a fan of the PS3, but you guys are not adding anything positive to the room. Is it not true that there are plenty of games on each side to play? Why come into a room of Xbox gamers just to start an argument, like it is going to bring the game to your system anyway, over games they have if you have games that they don't have also?

Here is the solution. Go to your local Electronics Store and purchase whatever system there is that you don't have and enjoy gaming instead of arguing. All this debating is childish and overall it shows why there are some that do not take gaming seriously.
