The refashioned visuals for the higher resolution widescreen look nice but without completely ditching the classic PC/Mac look, which has its charm; although, it would have been nice to have gotten realMyst instead. This game is slow and ponderous, but that is by design and a reason it feels rewarding to actually solve an age. Give it a go if you want to see what all of the hubbub was about in 1993 or if you appreciate retrogaming".

Jahanzeb writes: "Myst on Xbox is far from being the definitive version of the game, as in the process of modernising the graphical and visual presentation, it loses much of the artistic charm of the original 1993 classic. It’s certainly nice to have full 3D movement, but even then, the experience lacks the functionality of the original point and click control scheme."
