Gamevision:
"A first-person shooter starring the Punisher seems like a no-brainer. When Zen Studios announced that's exactly the game they were making for the PlayStation 3, I'll admit I got pretty excited. Then any word of the game vanished until earlier this summer. My hopes were once again high, as the idea of riddling the world with bullets from the end of a machine gun held by Frank Castle ran through my head. Had I known what awaited me upon starting up a game of Punisher: No Mercy, I would have traveled back in time to stop myself from making the mistake of downloading the game."
From Dramsettler's: "The Punisher is and will always be one of the most badass hardcore hero in the Marvel universe. His guns and blood thirst for revenge makes him appeal to appeal because most of us will never let out our anger like this guy. A few years ago The Punisher game was relasesd and it wowed us with its extensive use of violence and good storyline behind it. Everyone was excited that a new Punisher game was coming out. Then they said it was going to be realaesed as a PSN arcade game.Cool. With the usage of Unreal engine and just the Punisher license how could they fuck this up....right?"
Gamer 2.0 writes: "The Punisher: No Mercy is Marvel's attempt to release comic inspired games as downloadable content. While The Punisher in itself is a dull character to completely base an entire game around, this PSN title does nothing to change the feelings towards him. With a boring single player mode, repetitive gunplay and serious, serious bugs and glitches that hinder almost every aspect of the game, The Punisher: No Mercy feels almost like an unfinished product that was released for the sake of trying to cash in on the popular Marvel names."
GrE writes, "When I heard that there was going to be a Punisher downloadable game on PlayStation Network, my first thought was "will this be any good?" Unfortunately, Punisher: No Mercy fails to do the license justice. Really, it appears to be more of a sub-average first person shooter, with skins that are based off of characters from the Punisher comic book..."
This is a pretty one-dimensional comic book character, right? I should go dig up those Garth Ennis ones. He can do no wrong.
wow, an FPS based on a shooting comic book guy using the Unreal Engine. Whoda thunk it would suck? heh.
Yeah, maybe just make it a FPS and take the Punisher name off it. Or does anyone really care?
Honestly this game is the worst psn game I have ever bought, its basically the downgraded version of Unreal Tournament 3 with Punisher characters, its worth $2.00 at best.
