SFX-360: The Conduit Review

SFX-360 writes: "Developed by High Voltage Software (Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advance Warfighter 2 for PSP) and published by Sega, The Conduit is an admirable first person shooter game for the Wii released on June 23rd, 2009. In development since 2007, The Conduit puts together the best basic elements of the genre and finally gives the Nintendo faithful something good to shoot at on the Wii since the release of the last Metroid Prime. After a senator is killed, an attempt is made on the President's life, and a virus is spread in a near-future dystopian Washington D.C., Agent Michael Ford must put a stop to the Trust organization and those behind the mass conspiracy and recent alien Drudge invasion. The Conduit's plotline is just your basic sci-fi action alien invasion story spread over less than a dozen missions. Think Men in Black with less Big Willie style.

Pleasantries aside, The Conduit is a fun FPS experience that actually holds its own on the Wii. After a short learning curve at the onset of the game, the controls become surprisingly intuitive and do not seem to slow down the action even when playing on a Wii Controller and Nunchuck. Thankfully, Agent Michael Ford is tough enough to withstand a few hits before going down so gamers have enough time to orient themselves before Trust Agents or Drudge baddies tear them open..."
