Assassin's Creed 2: White Edition revealed

Ubisoft announced that all pre-orders of the Black Edition, the special edition, have already sold out. Because of that, the publisher announced a new collector's edition, Assassin's Creed 2: White Edition. This collector's item comes with a nice statue of Ezio and an extra bonus mission."

Black and White Edition huh? This coming from the company who reported a 50% loss. Spend money stupidly, just ship the game as it. Every game now adays does not need a "_____ edition"

This was announced a while back, the difference is the Black edition comes with a figure of the "Master Assassin" Ezio( full upgraded one, with a black cape), a special cover, a behind the scenes DVD, soundtrack, and a book full of concept art and stuff from the developers, while the white edition has a normal figure of Ezio(white cape) and less stuff, might get the Black Edition myself.. don't know yet, but the game looks promising hopefully it'll turn out better than the first

We've seen more about Uncharted 2 than about Assassin's Creed 2 imho. U2 can make the claim, AC 2 still has to prove some of the statements made (more variation, length of game) to be there too, although I sincerely hope it can pull it off.

Is a great game imo. Ubi from the looks of it has iron out the problems in AC1 with AC2 and they said they had 500 people working on it. I was greatly impressed with its E3 trailer. Now SC is delayed. Ubi must have more confidence in AC2. Ubi from the looks of it is developing AC franchise to be as big as GTA. We shall see. MW2 is big but i have a feeling it would be mostly for its MP.

U2 on the otherhand is the more rounded title and is still my best bet for GOTY.

I've played the original Uncharted and Assassin's Creed and I can unbiasedly tell you that for me it's 50-50 which will be better.

Since alot of games are coming out in october-september I had to cancel all Collector's Edition. I normally dig these stuff (Except CODMW2, come on prestige edition is a joke). I had to cancel my pre order on black edition, even my favourite Aion CE pre order!!! *cries*

Oh well better 2 games then 1 game and being CE Edition, or in case of the price of AC2 Black edition 3 games ^_^

First of all, is this a Europe exclusive for now? And what about the Black Edition? That has three missions with an art book and a figurine. Is that Europe exclusive as well? And does that cost more than the White Edition? I'm just a little confused, so if someone could help me, I'd really appriciate it! :D

It is so far a PAL exclusive, though NTSC regions will more than likely get the same thing. Check out this link for descriptions of what is in each package and pics of both.

The biggest point of difference for me is that the 'Black' version gets 3 in-game bonus missions and the 'White' edition only gets 1.
