OXCGN's Damnation Review: Gourmet Or Just Raw?

OXCGN:

"With a name like Damnation some might wonder if the game is based on some sort of hell… either for the developer in making the game, the gamer playing it, or perhaps both.

Codemasters and Blue Omega have certainly set their sights high with this new IP that aspires to create an open acrobatic vertical gaming experience that mixes a Wild West look with a steampunk flavour. The question is does the game hold together strongly, or does it crumble and completely fall apart?"

I liked the look of some of the vids and screenshots, but man that was a hammering. I don't think I'll be too quick to buy this one.

Bloody Masterchef...it's infecting Australia!

I was hoping for big things from this game, but had my doubts early in the piece when I started seeing some gameplay and actual in-game screens.

Although it's not the best, I think I'll get this as a rental just for some pure silliness.

Shame though, as many great ideas never turn out the way the developer originally intended.

I'll be steering way clear of this one.

Many of Atari's games have been less than stealer of late (as a publisher/distributor) and it seems their financial health is on the same level as their game value or health - average to poor at the best of times - sadly.
