Tobey Maguire talks about gaming and the upcoming movie and video game, Spider-Man 3.
What is your favorite video game of all time?
"My favorite video game of all time? Well, if Spider-Man 3 sells a lot of copies, it'll be this one! But one that I'm not involved in, probably the Knights of the Old Republic games. Those two games I think are really great games."
What do you think of the new Spider-Man game?
"From what I've seen of the Spider-Man 3 game, it looks amazing. There are these interactive cinematic cutscenes, the way you fight -- it's just amazing. I haven't tried the game on the Wii yet, but I'm really excited as you can use the wands to actually swing through the air. So I'm really excited to try that out. But, of course, as a good company man, I will be primarily playing the Spider-Man 3 game on the PlayStation 3."
From the Amazing Spider-Man series to the most recent titles and DLCs, explore which Spider-Man game deserves to be ranked first and why.
Spider-Man 2 (2004) and Ultimate Spider-Man use to be my favorite until Insomniac games took over.
My favorite and still champion Spiderman PS2, followed by Marvels Spiderman2, then Miles Morales, followed by Marvels Spiderman, and finally Ultimate Spiderman.
I need to drag out my PS3 and try Web of Shadows, owned the game for years and years and never played.
Spider-Man (2000), Spider-Man 2: Enter Electro, and Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions were all so good! I have fond memories playing them.
Phil writes, "It's never a good feeling to be hyped for the next installment of one of your favorite franchises, and then POW! You're blindsided with an extremely disappointing game that hardly lives up to your anticipation and hype. That's the focus of The Most Disappointing Video Game Sequels, and now we're at the fifth installment. This are six more of those games that were either rushed out, released in a broken or incomplete state, or were simply less than stellar experiences overall.
After you browse through and read up on the latest unfortunate games added to this growing series of articles, which game sequels that haven't already been mentioned in a previous article do you think should be added in a future installment?"
DSOGaming writes: "YouTube’s ‘reznoire’ and ‘Emulators for PC’ have shared some new videos from the latest version of the Playstation 3 emulator, RPCS3, showing Heavy Rain, MotorStorm: Pacific Rift and Spiderman 3 running in it."
Poor Heavy Rain lol that game was and is a pile. Emulation sounds cool though - Res. Evil 3 and Directors Cut all the way.
So games run at 10 fps and graphical glitches not seen since pcsx2 in 2003,.. I will get there someday.
Funny comment, film is by sony, and he wants to play the game on a wii.
"But, of course, as a good company man, I will be primarily playing the Spider-Man 3 game on the PlayStation 3."
I'll be playing the Playstation 3 version due to the fact it has/includes more content.(Green Goblin)
