The PlayStation store has been host to a huge variety of games from the insanely bizarre to the sublimely subtle. Aiming at many different demographics is important to keep the money coming in and for the smaller developers it's the ideal place to cut your teeth and try out fresh ideas. Since 2001 Boolat have been making mostly mobile only games and Topatoi marks their very original first venture onto the PS3.
More love for smaller developers.

The recent love-in between Sony and its large (and growing) stable of independent developer partners looks set to continue. The PS Blog has just announced a new round of sales, this time focussed on independently developed games, starting tomorrow.
The first of the bi-weekly sales will see a trio of platformers discounted. Pid, Topatoi and Zack Zero will all be available from Wednesday 5th June at discounted rates.
Pid is down from €9.99/£7.99 to just €5.99/£4.79 and will also have a further 30 per cent lopped off if you’re a PlayStation Plus subscriber. Topatoi is cut from €9.99/£7.99 down to €3.99/£3.19 with a further 10 per cent for PS Plussers. Zack Zero is down to just €2.99/£2.39 from €9.99/£7.99, with another 25 per cent off if you subscribe to Plus.
The special offers will all run for a duration of two weeks before being replaced with new offers on indie games.
PSLS:
Difficulty gripes aside, overall this game is an impressive package for only $13.99/€9.99. There are unlockable splitscreen multiplayer games, as well as online scoreboards that add to this title's replayability. Pile on decently challenging trophies, and this is one platformer that should keep you occupied for a while to come.
If you think it's hard to play now, then you should have played it before the patch for the game.
Want to see which region got what content? Look no further, as PlayStation LifeStyle has done the searching for you and compiled a list of what's new in this week's PlayStation Store Update, for all regions across the globe.
Do we already have MGS Portable Ops and Portable Ops Plus on the US PS Store? If not then wtf? I miss my portable tactical espionage action!
Downloaded PixelJunk Shooter right away. Hopefully they hit the 1 million download mark they were shooting for.
howd u guys like dantes inferno, once i got passed the graphics looking like a ps2 game i thought it was pretty good. i really like the eerie'ness and how scary it is. although i did feel like i was just button mashing most the time and it got me through in normal settings
