French studio Arkane is working on Bioshock 2

The homepage on Arkane Studios states:

"Arkane Studios is pleased to announce its collaboration with 2K Marin and contributions to Bioshock 2 in the areas of design, animation and art. We're excited about this game, which underscores Arkane Studios' core values."

Arkane Studios, the Lyon, France based developers are known for it's games Arx Fatalis, and Dark Messiah of Might and Magic.

In 2006, Arkane Studios announced the ambitious first-person shooter title, The Crossing; but officially announced The Crossing was put on hold in early 2009.

So what are original bioshock developers doing? Anyone know?

but the original guy behind the first bioshock has either moved from 2K or is working on other things, while some of the team got moved to the new 2k which is developing bioshock2. What worries me is theyve got these guys in to help with art, the multipler has been sent to digital extremes(i think, but definately another stuido) so what exactly is the original team doing the lazy FUX! i hope theyre not just trying to rush it out the door in time for the holidays and hope it sells :(

I read that Ken Levine said he and his team were working on something really awesome, but the way it was said sounded like they were going to let 2K Marin work on Bioshock 2 while the original Bioshock team might be working on Bioshock 3. They've said before it's going to be a trilogy. And to me it seems obvious that since Bioshock 2 isn't going to be much better than the first technically, then maybe Ken Levine is working with a new engine for the next Bioshock.
