Daimion Pinnock here, SCEA Producer for the WipEout franchise. As some of you may be aware, the WipEout franchise has been around for a while now, and continues to improve with each new update. We released WipEout HD last year in stunning 1080p for $19.99, and it received strong reviews. This year we have a new release for you all, which is called WipEout HD Fury!! We announced it the day before E3, and I'm sure that you'll be very impressed with what the guys at Studio Liverpool have been able to do.
Game preservationists Forest of Illusion have released the source code for the original Wipeout PS1 online, as well as its Windows port.
Featuring historical context and an interview with the designer, we take a look at the controversial WipEout poster that caused uproar in the UK press.
Amazing poster and one of the best racing franchises in the games industry - Period
No game give you the speed and rush like WipEout and the music is a key component to the game
Must make lots more WipEout's
mourne for that late 90s and 00s swag. All the cool stuff never known by dumb child me, curses!
From the carnage of Burnout to the underground street racing culture of Midnight Club, Nexus Hub explores five racing game franchises that are in need of a revival today.
I agree absolutely with Ridge Racer, but would prefer what Namco did with Ridge Racers on the PSP. Basically pull Ridge Racer 1-5 together, make it all about drifting and create new tracks with the same oldskool Arcade Feel. Wipeout however? Redout and Ballistic NG replaced it for me. I miss Rock N Roll Racing in this list
I would love to see Rockstar put another Midnight Club out. I remember that game fondly, the customization was top notch at the time. It had a nice arcady feel to the driving, but looking at the cars was the main point.
