Microsoft's big promise of E3 2008, Kodu Game Lab, launches on Xbox LIVE Community Games today – priced at 400 MS Points, or $5.
I thought this was gonna be free for Gold users... EDIT: You're right, I saw "Code Free" back when it was announced....eliminated the code.
No ....would have been nice though. :)
The launch of Kodu is very silent... You would think they would put some more effort in marketing this thing...
They'll market it later once it's caught on i'm sure. It'll lead the rebranded 'indie games' section undoubtedly. me? i'm so checking this out.
Played it. It`s kind of fun.
can a fps be made from this, a kiddie one obviously
Try and find out. I'm sure it's possible if cameras and controls can all be manipulated.
its quite difficult to make sumthing respectable alot of the example levels included feel really basic
That's a pretty respectable deal for something so versatile. I might get LIVE up and running soon so I can try this out.
At least you don't need gold to get the marketplace, however i'm not sure if you need to be gold or not for community games..
$5 is next to nothing anyway, I'm surprised Microsoft didn't give this out for free. It's in their interest that it's in the hands of as many gamers as possible, in order to create the largest amount of content.
Very poor man's LBP ? Errr, no thanks.
$5 for Kodu, seems fair. Much better than $60 for LBP
have both and Kodo and LBP and not comparable in value for money sense .
