IGN has posted their review of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Double Agent for the PS3.
"The debate is over; videogame villains are dumb. You've probably come to this conclusion before, but the rocket scientists in Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Double Agent take idiocy to a whole new level. They know there's an enemy -- me -- on their tanker ship, and here they are wandering the deck trying to find me with their flashlights... yet they keep pointing the damn things at blank walls and areas that aren't even dark.
It almost made me feel sorry for them as I ran up from the shadows and stabbed them right in their unsuspecting livers.
Brain-dead bad guys aside, Double Agent brings Sam Fisher to the PlayStation 3 for a successful campaign in almost every gameplay aspect that fans could want (except multiplayer, but I'll get to that later) and it provides an enjoyable go-round for any stealth-action fan. But let's start at the beginning..."
Darren writes: "Splinter Cell: Double Agent certainly wasn’t afraid to tread new ground in 2006, introducing events that would change the series forever."
Microsoft presented a new batch of Xbox 360 games that received Xbox One X enhancements via Xbox One backward compatibility, and here you can watch how they run.
Nothing wrong with more games. As someone who just fundamentally hates xbox, I am pretty jelly that xbox gamers get real BC.
Finally ninja gaiden 2 is BC, I've been waiting on this since they announced BC.
Ninja Gaiden 2 is the main game I wanted bcthen alone one x enchanced is this game is more fun than bloodborne
Amazing news! NG2!?!? Three Splinter Cell games!!! Fable 2&3 (the first is already enhanced)!!! This is what separates Microsoft's version of BC from others...its that they enhance both the performance and visual quality of these titles to keep them current in a lot of cases, instead of playing them exactly how they played and performed back in the day. Whats even better...I don't need to do ANYTHING but download the new patch...amazing.👏
Keep it coming Xbox!
Splinter Cell Blacklist and Splinter Cell Double Agent join the Xbox One backwards compatibility list. Xbox One is the home of Sam Fisher, it would seem.
Absolutely loved Blacklist. My favourite game in the series. I only have the PS3 version though, so sadly I won't get to take advantage of this BC, unless a good sale comes along.
How can the ps3 version get 1.1 less than the 360 version when it had more additions, that befuddles(if that is a real word) me. But whatever.
Graphically, the game looks good, but falls short of the detailed display Sam saw on Xbox 360 last year. Players who ran through the paces in Microsoft-land will notice a slower framerate and the loss of a few small details (things like a smaller quantity of fights during the prison riot, different textures on character close-ups and no goggle-toggle when tossing on Sam's specs).
You can't see me.There are other areas where Sam and company suffer from a bout of PS3 hiccups too
Why would they give The Elder Scrolls IV:Oblivion for the Playstation 3 a lower score than the Xbox 360 version, when the Playstation 3 version was shipped with additional content and tuned up graphics?
Nothing against the Xbox 360,I own one too,I had Oblivion for my 360,but the Xbox 360 stopped reading the game disc so I had to buy a new one and I said why not buy a different version since I only had like five Playstation 3 games at the time and around twenty games for my Xbox 360.
But it's a little weird,don't you say?
you expect a little more out of a game that comes out a year later. you expect them to take care of any of the problems that plague the original releases... not a game that is basically the exact same, with a few minor tweaks.
Don`t you hate when your drinks have water in them and everyone else doesn`t.
